OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

I was really worried about my snkrs pair after reading this thread... Received the shoes earlier last night... I guess I'm one of the lucky ones because my pair looks pretty good.
Ppl over exaggerating and overreacting looking for a perfect pair. Wonder how the complaints for those SJs gonna be next week

I don't really keep up with releases like I used to. Walked into Footlocker early Friday to beat the crowds and forgot that these dropped. There was a line at the register but didn't think much of it because it was Black Friday. I was wearing full Tech Fleece w/ a pair of 1's. One of the associates yells "yo what can I do for ya" which really meant "yo what size". I tell I'm good. He says the 3s dropped and points to the glass case in the front I tell him I'm good. He says "you gotta check them out" and offers to get my size. I obliged knowing from experience that they would look horrible in my size. He brings out the 12 and sure enough they were really bad. As soon as the boxed opened I could smell the plastic. Those things were atrocities and $220.

I can't hate Nikes hustle they'll get some at retail and they'll get more if they hit outlets at 219.99 cause they think they got a deal.

A lot of complaints not bashing any of you that are unsatisfied at all it's your money but it's killin the thread imo. Hope things work out for you guys........UNSUB

My FL order which was placed on the day they dropped still has no movement. Ups says it's still sitting at the finish line warehouse. I'm thinking about canceling the order and going through snkrs app or save the money for the foams. I always go through finish line I've never a bad experience.

Anyone receive returned refund emails from Nike? I never returned or ask for a return on my pair. But got an email saying they are processing a refund.

This has happened to me in the past.  Clearly a mistake on Nike to process a refund for a pair I didn't even initiate a return.  I ended up contacting Nike as they were processing a refund to the wrong account.  All about good karma.

Original member, from the days of dial up. At that time, releases were only seen in a SLAM publication, or grainy photos posted from this forum. I've lurked on this site for years since the restructuring time, and time again. For the "old" heads, this might hold some relevance, and for the "hype beasts", I apologize if you are not able to relate, or have no interest. For somebody that truly appreciates the association of the kicks to the man that was my hero growing up, I have zero qualms with this release. In all honesty, I had not planned on even attempting to purchase this release. The last time I was successfully able to secure a piece of my childhood was the taxi 12's back in 2013. I would have never thought that being able to get this release would have been easier than that. To remember a time that calling eastbay to secure a clearance pair of retro Jordan 1's or 3's, to the modern days of stunting on instagram to posting on GOAT the next day, it is hard to believe. I grew up in a time when being a sneakerhead was "weird". It was not common to buy multiple pairs of shoes, or to be interested in shoes. Niketalk was the ONLY place where you felt like you were normal for wondering what player was wearing what shoe. It was a community where you could belong. This release reminds me of those days. I have ZERO complaints about my pair. It was hassle free, and it was exactly what I wanted it to be.

OUTSTANDING!!! :pimp:

From one "old head" (I'm 40) to another, I salute you!!! REPPED!!!

Thanks. I just received the email at the middle of the night. I was going to call them regardless about their mistake.

PLANNED ON SKIPPING THE CRAP OUTTA THIS RELEASE.. BUT WAS ABLE TO COME UP ON A PAIR FOR THE LOW SO I COPPED.. I'LL BE MOVING MY 09 PAIR. THE CHIPPING DIDNT REALLY BUG ME BUT I NOW HAVE A FRESH PAIR WITH NA.. I DONT NEED TWO TB III'S.

MY PAIR LOOKS GREAT BTW BUT IM ALSO NOT A HUGE COMPLAINER .. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE GLUE STAIN THING LOL.

I hope guys in here make alot of noise. Now flaws and such are acceptable to me. Ogs had overlapping paint lines on soles and goofy stitching. My problem is, and maybe cause im older, that in a week and change im gonna drop the same coin on a shoe that to me craps on a 3 quality wise as it was back when they came out. I like both models equal but there come a point when people talk inflation, you want x quality go here, get over it. Its not about flaws, its about the price justified to the model and the materials to make it. Its dumb.

So much negativity about this release. Im excited to get my pair today. Glue stains or not, Im keeping and icing them.

I have the International release (I think 2009 version) and those have held up pretty good, minus the paint chip.

Still have my 2011's in good condition and wore those a handful of times.

Will bring out the NA ones in the summer with some Cubs gear.

What if we clowned too hard in here and made JB go back to the drawing board on the bc3 when they were about to release next year?

Bad thing or good thing?

What I do like about this release is that the shoes fit like they did back in the early 2000s and prior. Snug with a bunch of padding. I had to go half size up on this release and they still fit snug, but not unbearable. 2013 Cements and prior did not fit like this.

I can deal with glue stains and paint imperfections, within reason. What I cant deal with are high cuts on one shoe and low cuts of elephant print on the other, and severely mismatching print. Which is why I always mix and match pairs to try and match as best as possible.

For 220 dollars, JB needs to better manage the qc and make sure all these issues we had are not the majority.

So to answer your question, I would definitely say its a good thing, as long as the fit of the shoe stays the same.

It's really funny to see people say "you guys kiss Nike's ***", "JB keep fooling you guys", etc. Some people just don't care about the certain things that others care about. It's okay, it really is.

It's no need to attack people thinking they kiss Nike's *** because they're happy about their pair and don't mind minor things.

It's no need to attack people about spending their hard earned money on whatever shoes they want.

Some people like the shoe, some people don't.

We can discuss the shoe in this thread and move on about our days, but you guys should really quit attacking people about them spending their money with Jordan Brand.

Yeah, I definitely love the fit on these vs. the old retros. Can not stress that enough.

There's no such thing has perfect elephant, SMH.

They all come different.

I remember when the WC88s came out some of dudes loved the fact that they were different. Made them distinctive.

You can definitely get a pair that are very similar or you can mix and match until you find something close but the print isn't MEANT to match perfectly.

Are you still at this?   It's like the Ghostbusters reboot...some people are so passionate about it they wish it were better.   I agree with you that "some people like the shoe, some people don't".  Be the bigger man (or woman) and get over it already.

Been over it because I never cared. I don't take up for Jordan Brand and I don't bash the people who continue to do so, but if you look back to recent posts, people are still concerned about people being "fools over Jordan Brand".

You're not over it.  Every time I check back in here it's just posts from you (just you) sticking up for JB.  Let it go.

I've never once stuck up for Jordan Brand, so either you need new glasses or you should unsubscribe?

Also, I don't have a complaint, so what exactly should I get over?
