OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

Padding is super thick on these...thats for sure. I removed the thick insole and swapped out with the 2016 white cement 4 insole and it adds a bit more room for Mr. Pinky toe. So for the NTers that cant size swap for a .5 up,there is hope to fit them with not sacrificing too much comfort. This pair is still going back. Punctures in toe box and mismatched ep..just wanted to share insole swapping story.

Also noticed glue all up on the sock liner also....lol. Whoa..
Nike heard my issues yesterday and they know this pair is on its way back... Glue stains on the shoe i would almost expect. Never seen them on sockliners.

I have my second pair from NDC in-hand. Not as much luck there. The elephant print on one shoe is higher than the other on the front. The midsole is missing blue paint in a few spots. Might try to order another pair while they're still in stock to swap them with.

Must be that "white glove" treatment we were promised.

Yeah, I definitely love the fit on these vs. the old retros. Can not stress that enough.

There's no such thing has perfect elephant, SMH.
They all come different.

I remember when the WC88s came out some of dudes loved the fact that they were different. Made them distinctive.

You can definitely get a pair that are very similar or you can mix and match until you find something close but the print isn't MEANT to match perfectly.

Repped....Unless the print comes in different colors, not shades, it personally is something I don.t even look at too closely. I understand this is not the same concept as flyknit, but SOME people love the differences/uniqueness of having a less uniform print between each pair. In all honesty, you can put almost any shoe under a microscope, and find flaws. Some people choose to point them out, some choose to overlook, and some choose to enjoy what they are fortunate enough to have.

NDC apparently restocked some sizes.  Think these are returns?  I'm thinking about sizing up...

I don't think they sell returns right away they have to be inspected it's a process especially if they were labeled as flawed but who knows?

I don't really keep up with releases like I used to. Walked into Footlocker early Friday to beat the crowds and forgot that these dropped. There was a line at the register but didn't think much of it because it was Black Friday. I was wearing full Tech Fleece w/ a pair of 1's. One of the associates yells "yo what can I do for ya" which really meant "yo what size". I tell I'm good. He says the 3s dropped and points to the glass case in the front I tell him I'm good. He says "you gotta check them out" and offers to get my size. I obliged knowing from experience that they would look horrible in my size. He brings out the 12 and sure enough they were really bad. As soon as the boxed opened I could smell the plastic. Those things were atrocities and $220.

I can't hate Nikes hustle they'll get some at retail and they'll get more if they hit outlets at 219.99 cause they think they got a deal.

hook it up!

Im just a Sucker for OG colorways with Nike Air on the Heel Tab. Might as well bring the Fire Red 3 with NIke Air and take my money.
That's dope, I'm going to do that with my pairs after they worn & done.

I wanted them to look like old hoop shoes, lol.

Looks as if the Space Jams are overly mass produced as well, should be easy copping a pair off of Swoosh then.

memory is vague, aren't you the guy who is always protesting Nike?

Not a NIKE apologists but I really don't some of the complaints. Glue stains, more glue stains, elephant print not cut high enough, NIKE AIR on the back being off! WOW.

I enjoy this forum thoroughly but NT fam will find a complaint in shoes GOD made himself and decided to bless members of the NT community with their own personal pair! I was a member in the days of the early 2000s and joined again in 2013/2014 plus I have collected off and on since I was 10. For me, I loved this release and being able to copp to pair! Still as an adult, when I take a pair of my fav Js out of the box, I still get that nostalgic feeling. I can't fly like I used too but hell I still enjoy relaxing in a pair of Js and the True Blue IIIs along with the BC IIIs are two of my all times! I said it before and I will say it again, that 2011 release was worse than this one! The quality and the leather left a lot to be desired on the 2011 release but that is my opinion. I feel like this release is leaps and bounds over the 2011 but that is my opinion. I just think sometimes some buy just to find something to complain!!!

I love these shoes.  Happy to have a pair.  I got a pair for my wife and baby too which is awesome.  I don't feel bad for paying $220, but I do feel dumb for the hitting up a bunch of raffles in the mall and messing with reservations on apps and checking online at 7am and then having to go to a crowded mall on black friday to pick them up when I could have just sat at home and ordered them online.  I was too scared they were going to sell out.  I would be totally happy if all releases were like this and I can just be confident that there will be enough to go around because I'm almost 40 yrs old and chasing around releases is not what I want to do with my time.  Seeing that full restock on NDC makes me feel dumb for worrying about getting them, but if Nike gets consistent about these quanitites, maybe I won't be wasting time in the future.  So I'm all for it.

Original member, from the days of dial up. At that time, releases were only seen in a SLAM publication, or grainy photos posted from this forum. I've lurked on this site for years since the restructuring time, and time again. For the "old" heads, this might hold some relevance, and for the "hype beasts", I apologize if you are not able to relate, or have no interest. For somebody that truly appreciates the association of the kicks to the man that was my hero growing up, I have zero qualms with this release. In all honesty, I had not planned on even attempting to purchase this release. The last time I was successfully able to secure a piece of my childhood was the taxi 12's back in 2013. I would have never thought that being able to get this release would have been easier than that. To remember a time that calling eastbay to secure a clearance pair of retro Jordan 1's or 3's, to the modern days of stunting on instagram to posting on GOAT the next day, it is hard to believe. I grew up in a time when being a sneakerhead was "weird". It was not common to buy multiple pairs of shoes, or to be interested in shoes. Niketalk was the ONLY place where you felt like you were normal for wondering what player was wearing what shoe. It was a community where you could belong. This release reminds me of those days. I have ZERO complaints about my pair. It was hassle free, and it was exactly what I wanted it to be.

My pair arrived but not gonna be home for another couple hours

Actually scared what they will loook like

This shoe overall is pretty damn fire and clean on feet, but does anyone feel as if the colors not really "true blue"? Like I feel as if the colorway on this years retro appears to be a slightly darker blue or something
