OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

I love these shoes.  Happy to have a pair.  I got a pair for my wife and baby too which is awesome.  I don't feel bad for paying $220, but I do feel dumb for the hitting up a bunch of raffles in the mall and messing with reservations on apps and checking online at 7am and then having to go to a crowded mall on black friday to pick them up when I could have just sat at home and ordered them online.  I was too scared they were going to sell out.  I would be totally happy if all releases were like this and I can just be confident that there will be enough to go around because I'm almost 40 yrs old and chasing around releases is not what I want to do with my time.  Seeing that full restock on NDC makes me feel dumb for worrying about getting them, but if Nike gets consistent about these quanitites, maybe I won't be wasting time in the future.  So I'm all for it.
That's dope, I wish NDC would run a restock on infant sizes. :frown:

Original member, from the days of dial up. At that time, releases were only seen in a SLAM publication, or grainy photos posted from this forum. I've lurked on this site for years since the restructuring time, and time again. For the "old" heads, this might hold some relevance, and for the "hype beasts", I apologize if you are not able to relate, or have no interest. For somebody that truly appreciates the association of the kicks to the man that was my hero growing up, I have zero qualms with this release. In all honesty, I had not planned on even attempting to purchase this release. The last time I was successfully able to secure a piece of my childhood was the taxi 12's back in 2013. I would have never thought that being able to get this release would have been easier than that. To remember a time that calling eastbay to secure a clearance pair of retro Jordan 1's or 3's, to the modern days of stunting on instagram to posting on GOAT the next day, it is hard to believe. I grew up in a time when being a sneakerhead was "weird". It was not common to buy multiple pairs of shoes, or to be interested in shoes. Niketalk was the ONLY place where you felt like you were normal for wondering what player was wearing what shoe. It was a community where you could belong. This release reminds me of those days. I have ZERO complaints about my pair. It was hassle free, and it was exactly what I wanted it to be.

Y'all geeking over the next $220+ NA release? You purists are only setting yourselves up for disappointed again. That is unless you know what to expect by now.

Got my pair today and I'm talking to the Nike Rep. I told him about the quality and he's asking if I want a remake lol. He's telling me they can remake me a pair. What? Anyone been told this? Pretty sure they're just going to ship me another pair from their current inventory lol.

I wasnt around but how did the release go? was it an easy cop?
I had a quick chat with a FTA employee at southland mall yesterday and asked him if they still had lots of pairs of the 3s, he said "yea bro we still got almost all our pairs still-they sitting"

i for one am glad theres still tons out there

I was finally able to use the military discount along with rewards. I asked for my size and homie brought out five different pairs without me even asking and proceeded to help find the best matching set. We had to go through all 5 boxes but I got a decent looking pair for close to $150. I'm all about getting "what you pay for", but everyone knows what time it is when you buy Js. If I feel like quality and craftsmenship that day in wht/red/blue, Ill pull out the 998DMONs. Retro Jordan's for me are strictly for going back in time.

Not a NIKE apologists but I really don't some of the complaints. Glue stains, more glue stains, elephant print not cut high enough, NIKE AIR on the back being off! WOW.
I enjoy this forum thoroughly but NT fam will find a complaint in shoes GOD made himself and decided to bless members of the NT community with their own personal pair! I was a member in the days of the early 2000s and joined again in 2013/2014 plus I have collected off and on since I was 10. For me, I loved this release and being able to copp to pair! Still as an adult, when I take a pair of my fav Js out of the box, I still get that nostalgic feeling. I can't fly like I used too but hell I still enjoy relaxing in a pair of Js and the True Blue IIIs along with the BC IIIs are two of my all times! I said it before and I will say it again, that 2011 release was worse than this one! The quality and the leather left a lot to be desired on the 2011 release but that is my opinion. I feel like this release is leaps and bounds over the 2011 but that is my opinion. I just think sometimes some buy just to find something to complain!!!

You are satisfied paying $220 retail for a subpar quality pair of 3s? Also, how are your benefits at Nike?

I swear there are Nike spies on here that try to coerce people into believing their brands stand up and only provides the utmost quality products .

Either that or some of u are just out right gullible.

Just got my pair from Nike. These feel like a cheap toy .. lolz
lol like I say to most people all the time, you might as well buy 3 different shoes or spend your moneys worth on clothing than spend on a pair of Jays nowadays with that type of pricetag lool. Unless jordan had some REAL premium quality on all the shoes they are coming out with

I remember these were premium quality shoes. Look at the OG 12s. Buts it's our fault honestly cause not only do we continue to buy them all, we pay outrageous prices when we come up empty just to get a pair we missed.

Yeah I'm not going to double up on these. My pair's quality is average and a bit disappointing.
Loving the availability though :nthat:

Somebody tell me why this left shoe looks like a right shoe

You could always have them shipped to your local UPS store and just pick them up there.
