OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

Took me the whole day to get a semi decent pair. It went to a house of hoops and the dude brought out a couple of sizes. All of them had a chunk of the elephant print missing on the outer and inner part of the corners of the shoe.I deicded to hit up champs, talked to sales associate about finding a clean shoe. He told what he had left over was some jacked up pairs.I just left

Went to another footlocker and chunks of the cement print was missing on the inner part of the shoe. The chick was like nobody is gonna see the inner part of ur shoe.

I went to another house of hoops one shoe was perfect but the other pair was jacked up. Bought that pair. Then I started shoping around for a left shoe. Finally found a decent shoe in champs. Swapped them out. Now when I went to retrun the shoe to champs the lady didn't accept it. So I went to another champs and they took it. Now for my hunt for a second pair,lol

Now what a perfect shoe is too me may not be perfect to you. Once again compared to the messed up pairs I seen. I'm gratefull will post pics
 
Still don't get the point in changing the EP from grey to tan and yes, bad fakes have this exact tan EP.

Might need to size up on these. I find them a little tight. I'll wait until they go on sale though

I think they effed up when having it designed and produced. Or someone who is color blind approved the sample and they went forth and did it all that color. Nothing in the past indicated that it should be that color, but oh well. On feet in person, they dont look bad like the pictures. Im thinking about shading it in with pencil to see how it looks, and then something permanent in the future if it continues to bother me.
 
All these examples of defects/inconsistencies/lack of proper quality control got me wondering what it'll be like to LC these 5 years from now. I'm very new to the sneaker game, started copping stuff with the WC4 release (although I've loved and wanted these kicks since I was a kid). As I acquired more kicks, I've learned a bit about spotting fakes -- now I'll be able to go on ebay and see that the lowest price NMDs are fishy because the stripe sizes look off or a pair of SBBs auctioning at 300 have an off-looking swoosh and a low grade wings logo. But when I see some of the pictures posted here, I would think they're fake when comparing them to how mine look. That one pair with the elephant print thicker on one side just killed me. With how good fakes have gotten now, I don't think I'd be able to do an LC on a pair of these even now, forget about down the road.

Love my pair and am happy it's not defective, but horrible QC on Nike's part.

THIS... is what you don't do, SMH.

You're going to mess it up for everyone doing stuff like that.

You don't have to even say it, they'll offer the EXTRA25 on clearance, if you say no thanks, they'll offer with 10%, if you say no thanks you'll just move on to a new brand, they'll eventually off you the 20%.

They do the same thing every time.

I think you'd be able to find a pair or 2 at your local mall. IMO it wouldn't hurt to see if you can find a better pair in person. Not sure where you copped the pair in your pics from, but if NDC, maybe squeeze out a promo?

Wow just wow.
We all need to just wear our shoes instead inspecting with a microscope.
Shoes aren't symmetrical. They might have different cuts/shapes/heights etc.
They are not perfectly identical from left to right. I can understand some of these complaints but a vast majority are just ridiculous

how do you prove youre related to a veteran or active military?

when I was in FL or champs or something I saw the sign saying military discount applies to family members of veterans or active military....my grandfather served in the army, could I get the discount? and how would i go about proving this?

From my experience working at Champs, we just needed to see a military ID. I think it changes from store to store tho. Some places require the person who was in the military to be there.

So I was able to order two pairs. The general consensus on complaints is all quality control and inconsistencies in the pairs. One pair had the oversized elephant print toe panel on both shoes, while the other pair had perfect elephant print but had a strange crease in the leather on the toe box. It's so strange and I guess disappointing how many inconsistencies there are in these. I checked both production dates and they're from  the same day. I can understand the complaints for paying $220+ tax for these. You'd expect something better. But for $140, i'm not mad at these. I needed a pair after my 01's crumbled on me.  
 
I hope these go on sale or at least eBates honors the cash back I got for these from NDC. The more I look at these, the more I'm unimpressed especially for $220+tax.
