OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

Even though, some of the complaints were silly, I don't mind it. It's a thread, you have all right to do any complaining about your shoes.

The crazy thing was most of you guys being mad at others who didn't feel the same way, thinking that everyone who is fine with their pair is blind to the fact that Nike is ripping everyone off and we're dumb for not seeing that. That's the crazy part right there.

Just got my replacement pair in from Nike after returning my original pair with paint cracking right out of the box. There's some quality issues on the replacement pair too, but nothing too major. Elephant print on the toe of each shoe is not even, one shoe is cut much higher up than the other. But at least there's not cracking on this pair right out of the box though. The replacement pair is a lot better than my original pair, and i'll be keeping them.

I'm still not happy with this release at all, but I love this shoe & want to wear them come Spring time. Overall, I think this will go down as the worst quality retro release of 2016. The leather is straight up garbage, not to mention all of the defective pairs out there. I really wish JB just kept the III in the vault if they were going to ruin them like this.

LOL, you for sure have to work on your sneaker angles, fam'.

No worries. For what it's worth, I wasn't putting much thought into it. Just wanted to put an on feet in this thread... And, to be honest, a plug for the Cream and Crimson.

Honestly I want another pair

And it's either these or space jams

And I prob won't even wear space jams lol

They really dropped the ball on these...
What's weird to me is that how is it that a shoe like the SJ 11's will be produced around the same numbers as these TB 3's but if the SJ's come out anything like the 72-10's did it will be done right. The whole mass produced theory wouldn't be able to apply. They really just put NA on the back but gave us trash in return.

Just returned my two pairs to Nike. One pair had yellow mustard stains on it. The other had a deep scratch on the toe box. Disappointing to say the least.

Seeing the quality complaints only snagging these on disco. Hope they get the Aqua treatment & hit outlets in floods

My NDC pair arrived, and these I'm keeping.  Not perfect by any means, but more than good enough (especially by JB standards) especially since I got them on discount.  Just for fun, I pulled out my pair of 88s to compare, and here's a few thoughts...

1) I don't think anyone can argue that craftsmanship on the whole for this release was pretty bad, but the leather is just fine by me.  I've been laughing at descriptions of the 88s and the 2011s as having "buttery" leather - anyone who thinks that needs to hold them both in hand and see for themselves.  IMO the leather on the 2016 TB3s is every bit as nice as the ones on the 88s and my 2009 international release TB3s.

2) The elephant print cut and darkness was pretty much the same as the 88s.

3) These are actually much more comfortable to wear than my 2009 TBs, and also more comfortable than my 88s as well.  Padding (especially around the collar area) is much better on the 2016 than on the 88s or my 2009s, and the insole is great.

4) The Nike Air backtab is MUCH nicer on the 2016 TB3s than on the 88s due to the fact that the 2016s are painted all around, instead of just the outer surface like on the 88s.  I may try to paint the surrounding plastic on my 88s to give them the same effect.

5) Oddly enough, the label on my NDC pair came on the box instead of the lid, but I'll fix that myself with a blowdryer this weekend.

Enough blabbing, on to the pics:

Man I'm satisfied with my pair, some of y'all forensic detectives and armchair economists need to chill, it's a shoe that you willingly paid for. Return the mf if you don't like it, I'll gladly take your returned pair at disco bin prices, keeps me with a fresh pair when I beat the dog doodoo outta my pair. Trust I'm gonna wear these as much as possible be out here like Willie D n having you read these Nikes. But for real tho, it's a shoe that some of us have been waiting a long time for, so yeah I am gonna drop my money on em. Same with the next NA JB release and the next one after that. I'm buying a piece of my childhood back and saving a pair for my little man when he finally needs a pair ya feel me? It ain't about sucking Nikes **** it's about me and what I like and what I wear, you don't like it? Ok, you ain't hurting my feelings or my pockets. You want me to trash a pair of shoes because your degree in Kicksology says to? Yeah nah, I make my own decisions on what I'm gonna do with what I've bought. Like I said I'm satisfied with my pair I only noticed one defect but what I've also noticed is the many people's necks breaking as I stunt in these **** and to me that's better than not having them at all.
