OG Nike Air Jordan III Retro True Blue BLACK FRIDAY '16

Got my pair on Tuesday from NDC. The quality is nowhere near the '88s but they still look great. Disappointed that the perforations look like crap. On the other hand the midsole looks like it was painted in a different way so I don't expect paint chipping like on the recent previous releases. Would've doubled up but just got a new mbp and want to double on the SJs next week. From every pic I've seen they look flawless. Quality at least on par with the 72-10s of not better. Still a great release and as always people who passed on them will regret it down the road. I don't expect a re-retro anytime soon. The black cements and even the white cements will be released before we see these again. I just hope the "remastered" WCs look as good as the '88s. It would be disappointing if the perforations aren't pronounced like they were in 2013. If these sit for long enough then I'll cop another pair.
 
Could you feel the grooves in the cement print in the 2011 pair? I'm looking at a pair in hand and the cement is flat

ain't Wisconsin a clearance outlet? When people do returns to regular outlets and they resell the shoes it pretty much retail price. San Leandro is a clearance outlet and usually it's cheaper than regular outlets. But good luck finding anything at San Leandro unless you have great timing or some connect.

Just scrolled through the last few pages and didn't see anything on the sizing but I apologize if I missed it. How would you say the TB's fit? TTS?

The only Clearance Outlet in Wisconsin is located in Johnson's Creek

These True blues were at a regular Outlet

  • Elephant print on the inner right shoe is a lil much
  • Elephant print on the back heels lil much, high cut
  • I would need to stretch or bend down the toeboxes to kinda make the shape / mold more straight

If the height of the EP on the toe was shorter I swear I wouldn't even complain about this shoe or give a crap about the tan color EP

mine came great just that EP is way too high on the tie and it's exactly like the fakes lol

Yes, you can feel the grooves.  They're not tremendously deep, but you should definitely feel the texture...
 
I was bending down the red lining on the tongue
Surprisingly i think its easy to tailor the lining or even use scissors and trim it down. You can roll it a lil back. It sortalooked og for a sec

Word theres not much i can really change otherwise the shoe will be too modified, almost unreal.

Literally for the ep i feel like pouring water on em just to see them darken a bit [emoji]128513[/emoji] rain weather ftw

You know there's a lot more pairs out there than the people on NT lol come on dude I know 20 people that got them and only 1 had to return because of quality. NT is a select few people who buy sneakers and most are too anal imo.
 
Picked up a return @ Colorado Mills in my true size.  Store was also running a 20% off entire purchase deal which applied to the shoes.  Had a gift card to put on top of it all and managed to get these for well under retail.  Was planning on skipping this release altogether, but this was too good to pass up.

Also, FYI, they have another return, size 10.5 behind the counter for  retail +  20% off + tax out the door.

Just opened my pair today, and man, I'd never been more nervous unboxing. My pair is nowhere near as bad as some I've seen here. One of the sides of my elephant print looks rough on the edge, like a rat lightly chewed it, just like the pair DJ Delz reviewed on youtube. And the EP on the back of one shoe is high, nearly touching the R in Air. But other than that and a few glue stains, my pair is solid. As a matter of fact I have MUCH worse over the years I've kept. But with the $220 price point there was no excuse for every pair of these not being A1. Glad I saved a bit of coin with the $20 reward from FNL.

Elephant print is similar just more of a tan color. Agree with everything else you said though, especially the back tab although I think it looks cool both ways. I wouldn't paint the back tabs on those Katrina customs if I were you. I wouldn't change a thing,those look amazing!

If 3 out of 10 pairs are jacked than thats 30% of the pairs that have defects. That's wayyy to high for a major company like Nike. Yeah I'm just pulling those numbers out my *** but the small sample size on NT backs that example up. The HOH here in SD has over 20 returns already. When I hit up Nike chat and complained they told me that it's been a on going problem and that they are "closely inspecting" pairs they're still shipping out. Nike botched this release and that's a fact

absolutely not. i was fortunate enough to score 2 pairs of 88s on rd at retail. one pair is still ds. i compared my ds 88s with these and the only thing better about these TBs is the NA panel. TB leather is noticeably stiffer, at least on my pairs.

Not to sound rude but long as my pair is good I could care less. Been in this game too long to worry bout what other people got from their purchases. I for one don't mind them botching a release means that they will fade the loss then try to recoup by bringing out heat later to make up for people they disappointed. Then I win again lol
