Air Jordan 11 Space Jam-December 10, 2016-$220

Exactly this. Definitely some ulterior motives when I resell. Not even concerned about turning a profit half the time. Straight retail + ship deals with NTers = credit card bonuses and cash back on multiple sites. All for slapping a shipping label on a box.

From what I'm reading. it seems like a lot of NT members are rolling in cash.

What do you mean?

It seems like some people either have the cash for these "luxuries" of buying tons of sneakers, and then on the opposite end of the spectrum you have people that are scraping by and need to resell just to stay afloat.

how is this wish list trick working?

I'm guessing people had already added their size to a wishlist, and after they soldout the shoes remained there. Then when a small stock was back in Finish Line's system, they didn't post publicly, but they could be added to cart from wishlists.

I find it funny how people say it's not worth it to resell only making $60 bucks a shoe. That gives off the impression of your a baller or your just lazy to make extra money. I personally don't have to resell but I do so those profits pay for my personal pair along with incentives I get from credit cards etc

As I mentioned in a previous post, 30% ROI on any "investment" isn't bad by any means.   I think people are dogging reselling for a few reasons.  One being that a lot of people actually WANT the shoe to WEAR, while resellers (with bots, backdoor connections, etc.) all get multiple pairs and sell for max profit, especially here on this forum.  It is a "community" that originally started as a place for sneakerheads to talk / work together, but now it is basically resellers heaven.

Next, I think it is important to realize that while you made $60 profit (or whatever), if you value your time it actually comes out to less than $60.   By the time you buy them (locking up funds, if that is an issue - which it is for some people, or the cost of the bot / ATC if used), then you pay for shipping to you, then receive and possibly store them (not a problem for a couple pairs, but if you are a "full-time reseller" you may need a lot of space), then have to list them on eBay / StockX / GOAT / PayPal which all have their respective fees, shipping costs to those venues or directly to your buyer, and even then may need to go through the headache of someone filing a claim / chargeback.... you can see why some people don't really think it is worth the $60 "profit".

This is how it's done.  My local UPS store knows me by name, and she always has my packages ready and waiting for me when I walk in no matter who else is in the store.   We've become friends.  As a matter of fact, I dropped off her Christmas present yesterday when I went to pick up my Nike+ reserved Jams. A little love goes a long way in this world...

Making connections. Buying someone a small gift goes a long long way. Gotta butter people up.

$60 "profit" a shoe is relative to what you did to score these and what you're taking into account as your overhead.

If you scored via an app and just walked in to a mall picked up thats $240 out the gate. Throw $20 shipping on top of that to cover USPS and signature confirmation. Subtract your paypal and or ebay fees if you selling online. So If you sold these for $300 that's 300-240-20-12 (paypal fees)= $28 NET profit. Again all relative to what you're selling for, what shipping method you're using and vs meetup. And that's $300 in a flooded market where MANY people are dropping prices because they can't sit on 4-5 pairs for a long time.

If you sell for $350 again the math comes into play to find out exactly what you get.

it's not about being lazy into making money it's about factoring in all aspects of what it took you to attain the product you're selling. Hence if you drove all around town, camped and hit multiple stores to make $60 a shoe, you're foregoing putting a price on your time which is the mistake alot of people make.

This as well.

I failed on launch day and on the subsequent restocks so I just bucked up and bought a pair for $270 shipped from grailed.  I hate paying resale but I have dropped to ball on trying to secure a pair for retail so I just gave up.

All valid points. why does everyone assume people only sell online?

Well I guess the flood gates are opening for those who ordered from SNKRS. Gotta say, I literally planned on getting these just over a week ago, and the process was a lot easier and less stressful than I expected.

The hype sucked me in, but I'm really happy with my purchase. Of course, these look so much better in person. My first ever XI.

Things I noticed out the box:
-peaks not as pronounced
-the patent is stunning in person
-laces are much thicker than expected
-Quality and craftsmanship better than expected considering alleged mass production

Walked around the house in them and
-they fit TTS but on the bigger size (I wear 11)
-Definitely needs breaking in
