The blue tint on the soles is annoying though. I really hope JB fixes it.

No, they're not. The 2000 and 2009 were not made correctly.

glad they made @least some sort of effort to bring back the OG shape of the xi's
the 45 on the back is a nice touch but that's really just the icing on the cake for me. my sole reason for wanting these is the mold/patent leather cut.
like others have stated, the most horrible mold for xi's was easily the 08 bred cdp's and the 09 jams. if I didn't have those colorways from the early 2000's in damn near DS condition, I woulve made an attempt to get the newer ones just off the strength that id rather have them than not @ all, but the fact of the matter is, the cut of the patent and overall shape the 08 and 09 models was just too warped for me.
eventually the newer xi molds came around. but 08 and 09 were obviously test runs for JB after not releasing that model in a while.
anyway, for those of us that pay attention to detail, these are a godsend.

I always felt they had a cloudy grey tint, not water blue
I know the sole could have changed due to age, but I still stand by my assessment.

I'm still not loving how the upcoming space jams are looking. That high patent leather is not sitting well with me, regardless if that's how the OG look and cut should be.

That 45 on the back is UGH... the more I see this, the more I am going to pass on this release. I still hate the fact my 09 jams hurt the living hell of my pinky toe when I wear them....

So far I'm really loving what JB did with these Jams. Higher patent, 45 on the back to differentiate from the other previous Jams, Nike Air insoles, and none of those measle looking white dots that were on the midsole from the 09 release.
