police officer killed a day after she was sworn in.

RIP.

I use to live off that same exact street where it happened a few years ago.

I'm so glad I got outta Woodbridge, that place is a mess.

dang i use to live in Woodbridge and it was a nice town not surprised she was the 4th officer to die in that county. I wonder exactly where in Woodbridge anybody have those details?

If you're familiar with Woodbridge, it happened in the housing development behind the Ruby Tuesday, across the street from the County Complex/ P-Nats stadium.

FWIW, that area is suburban as suburbs get, nice walking trails and 500k houses.

LOL @ "Hoodbridge"

But yes, a lot of fake thugs in Woodbridge. I guess I'd be slightly more conscience if I was hispanic and lived off Rt. 1 but otherwise, it's a decent, quiet place.

Damn. Dude put down 3 officers with ease and then surrendered. Seems like he had a psychotic meltdown and jus lost it. I pray for people everywhere that have to spend yearssss of their life living in war. No telling what that can do to your mind.

RIP to the young ladies.

Extra sad this dude had to black smh. Stereotype confirmed for all the white people in that neighborhood

Dude is a SGT in the Army stationed at the Pentagon.

The thing I'm confused about is why was she by herself on her 1st day? How was he able to pop to more officers after he popped the first one?

She was a rookie answering a standard domestic disturbance call, poor girl didn't see it coming...very sad.

Oh yeah and some of you are really ***** people.

That's what I'm saying. Why was a rookie out there by herself. In every PD I've encountered you ride with a TO (Training Officer) for months before you the hit the streets on your lonesome.

Such a sad story. Forgot where I read it, but someone was saying that domestic disputes are the worst kind of calls to get if you're a police officer.
Makes sense. Emotional tension between spouses is a recipe for disaster if you're the one who has to intervene.

Heard about this too. Having to get in between two people that love each other, where often the victim can turn on the officer :smh:

She was not alone. There were 2 other officers with her who were also shot. Luckily, they survived.
