Wanted some good  headphones & saw the Solo 2s on sale at BB for a bill.

Might pull the trigger but not sure.

Always heard that Beats are overhyped & there are better brands out there.

I listen to Rap 75% of the time.  Also Heard they're tuned for Rap/HipHop.

Opinions NT?

Cop?

Mostly all brands are over hyped besides a few.

So to answer your question, yes.

But aren't they like $200?

Guess it's a deal regardless.

Unless you do a lot of flying I honestly don't understand the noise cancellation head phone trend.

Nah, the sound quality is superior. But they're made cheap and inferior. Not worth the ticket price. I saw these the other and was like, "wow". They're dead serious too.

I guess they're ok. I paid $60 for Solo HD's during Black Friday last year and I thought they were still on the high side

Beats By Dre helped improve other headphones in appearance

I haven't had any problems with my Studio 2.0's or Powerbeats 2.0

I use my wireless studio beats just about everyday, work and gym. I accidentally sat on them once, called Apple Care and had them replaced free of charge.

I like them.

I'm using my studio wireless joints right now.

Price is high, but IDGAF. I got them price matched for $250 instead of $379 over Christmas.

I have a pair of urBeats that I use in the gym, got it for a Christmas gift 2 years ago. A few days into that following January and I ripped them right out of the earbud in the middle of a set. Guy at Beats hooked me up but I've been careful with them ever since. Kind of wish I asked for the over the head pair, but I have no real complaints. I'm sure there are better headphones out there, like Bose.

Let's be honest...most people buy it as a fashion accessory

for sound quality/value audio technica >>>>
Info?
They are really good. The ath-m50x have been one of the best quality for money headphones you could buy for years now.

My cousin has a pair and he loves them.

I would cop if they came in wireless
Can co-sign this. I also have ATH-M50x and highly recommend them.

Wait for them to drop around $100-120.

Powerbeats Wireless 2.0 is dope for the gym.

Beats is pretty much the "standard" go to headphone when you dont know the different brands and such. You need to buy a gift? Headphones? Oh lemme get that person Beats. Still a quality product.

Now that Beats is with Apple I may consider getting a pair since they have a great warranty

Audio-Technica is great from what i've heard, just too bulky for my taste

Sony MDR studio monitors x ESS DAC = :pimp:

One of my friends swears by the Audio Technica ath-m50x headphones. I personally prefer my Sony MDR V6s.

Whatever you choose, stay away from Beats and any other headphones that come in weird neon colors.

Yes.

I got some as a gift and the extension piece broke in like a month.

Sound wise, they're really not any better than any other studio headphones.

Going on 4 years. Foldable. Removable cable. None of that talk back nonsense. Straight audio only

Beats have a low pass filter which makes bass come through mix more. Other than that all looks and marketing.
