Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said Sunday that the team is waiting on a final medical evaluation before making any decisions. With the official game notes now listing Thursday's starter as "TBA," fantasy owners in weekly leagues may want to bench Cole for the coming week.

Cole (triceps) was placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday retroactive to June 11, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.

Spin: According to Berry, the Pirates are officially calling Cole's injury a "right triceps muscle strain" after getting the results of his MRI back. Cole suffered the injury Friday when he left his start in the third inning with tightness in his right triceps. The move to place him on the DL is retroactive to June 11, so he could theoretically be back by June 26 if he's ready, but the Pirates have yet to release an expected timetable for his return. Pitching prospect Jameson Taillon was recalled from Triple-A to start Tuesday and take Cole's spot on the active roster for the time being.

Trying to add someone but i keep getting this message. I put Cole on the DL but it says he's in NA. Then i tried just putting him on the bench & the same thin popped up. Anyone ever have this happen?

Slim pickings when it comes to pitchers in our league bc everyone is so damn knowledgeable to the game haha. In both my other leagues I've been able to add Stroman, Tomlin, Fulmer, Shoemaker, Taijuan Walker and Sam Dyson within the last 1 1/2 weeks. 12 team leagues too.

I was trying to pick up Kelley for 10 minutes & nothing was working

Just added Kelley with that open roster spot from Cole going on the DL. I probably should have gotten another bat but whatever, I'll see what's to be.

Cole (triceps) is not expected to start as soon as he's eligible to return from the disabled list, Root Sports Pittsburgh reports.

Spin: He'll get the Dodgers at home sometime during the weekend of June 24-26. Cole avoided serious injury when he came out of Friday's game against St. Louis with a strained triceps muscle.

Belt left Tuesday's game shortly after getting hit on the ankle by a pitch in the sixth inning, CSN Bay Area's Alex Pavlovic reports.

Spin: He remained in the game to run the bases, but was then taken out after visiting with the team trainer. Belt was 1-for-3 with a strikeout before exiting. Buster Posey and Matt Duffy represent options to play first base if Belt misses further time.
