OFFICIAL 2016 FANTASY BASEBALL THREAD - Page 49

Didi to miss Opening Day, may miss all of April. He's first due to start a throwing program in 2 weeks.

Hoping he hits the DL so I can just stash him for the time being.

Raisel Iglesias should be fine. No structural damage. Just a bruise.

I honestly may drop him anyway. I didn't do my homework draft night when I took him and assumed he was going back into the rotation but I see he's going to be their closer. Is that right?

Yeah the Reds don't trust his health enough to make him a starter. And he's not even gonna be a typical closer. They're gonna go with a trio of guys in late game high leverage situations. So some nights he might pitch in the 7th, 8th, or 9th. Should still be a good source of Ks, ERA, and WHIP. But probably won't get you too many saves.

He doesn't wanna do it but I'd be down to try and keep the league going with someone else as commish

Had my money keeper draft. Was late so I just set predraft rankings and my que:

Kept Trout, Boaegartes, Sanchez, Stanton and Trea Turner. Drafted:

McCutchen
Longo
Bregman
Zobrist
A-Gon
Salazar
Matz
Harvey
McCullers
Maeda
Urias
Waino
Cody Allen
Colome
Watson
Grandy
Dahl
Tim Anderson
James Paxton

Have waiver claims in for Glover, Glasnow and Gleyber Torres dropping Dahl, Paxton and Colome

I could certainly use all three of those categories laugh.gif but IDK. I think I rather have another starter/OF already having a closer in Seung-hwan.

@JohnnyRedStorm

Grabbing Gleyber as a keeper tactic? Unless he absolutely kills it in Trenton I doubt he sees the majors til late season.

Of course. Looking to protect him and stash assets. Wanna do the same for Moncada as well. Just don't have NA spots in this damn league.

Do most leagues? I haven't even heard of an NA spot to be honest, but that's clutch if ya have that option.

I drafted Haniger in one of my final rounds, hoping he pans out.

I guess it depends on the commish but every keeper I've done has had one. It makes the most sense.

Yeah I have no problem dropping him. I'm gonna do it as soon as the Cards put Alex Reyes on the DL so I can scoop him and throw him in one of my DL slots laugh.gif. If I "redshirt" him as we call it in our rules I can keep him for up to 6 years.
