Stay put. Gurriel is 32 years old and a 4th round pick may be a decent return, but we already know Machado is a stud.

Yeah I'm currently in 8th place. Have to make up 12 wins in 3 weeks (12 cat league) to make the playoffs. And even if I do make the playoffs, I have no legitimate shot of winning the championship. It's a keeper league and Machado can't be kept next year so I'd rather cut him loose and get something for him while I still can. Gurriel could be quite a bargain at a 20th round pick keeper cost if he lives up to the hype.

You can't keep 1st or 2nd round picks and he was drafted in the 1st. It's a pretty good rule. Ensures there's plenty of talent available in the first two rounds rather than everyone keeping them :lol:.

I get Machado, he gets my Lamb and Thor. I really hope I don't regret moving on from Syndergaard but bold moves make for a potentially big payoff :pimp: Lamb and Manny are having pretty similar seasons but with Manny on fire like he is, I wanted to try and land him.

I'm kind of regretting it :lol: I should have asked for a pitcher of his also. Manny and Lamb are having very similar seasons and Thor is dominate despite not picking up a W since July 3rd. Gotta hope Machado continues to stay hot.

Should I drop Cameron 'DTD' Maybin for Benintendi?

Benintendi is getting to the point where he's no longer a platoon partner in left field, according to Boston manager John Farrell, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports. When asked if it was time to make Benintendi an everyday player instead of platooning with Bryce Brentz, Farrell said: "Yeah, it's getting closer certainly. We had every intention to ease (Benintendi) in. That easing-in period has happened relatively quick. To say that he won't see at-bats against left-handers, I'm not going to say that. But we've got three right-handed starters coming up in this next series against New York so the one thing you can say is that for the early at-bats, the early starts to his big league career, it's been impressive."

Spin: Benintendi, who had three hits and drove in two runs in Sunday night's loss to the Dodgers, is 5-for-13 since being called up from Double-A. It's still very early in this experiment, but the young outfielder is handling the transition well so far and Farrell feels he's ready for a larger role.

^ **** I didn't realize Lamb was cooking like that :lol:. I knew he was having a good season but his numbers are up there.

I'd probably hold on to Maybin for the next couple of days to see if he comes back or lands on the DL. You might be able to stash him and pick up Benintendi.
 
Grab benintendi. He has keeper potential. Interesting trade. I don't blame you for it but as a mets fan idk if I could do it. Lamb has been a great hidden secret.

David Dahl should be picked up btw.
 
I grabbed Benintendi and cut Maybin loose, second time I've added/dropped him in the past few months. Can't afford to sit and wait for him to get back in the lineup.

I doubt I'll even use a keeper on Machado, and if I held onto Lamb I could have used a much later round pick on him. But like I said, I gotta just hope Machado stays hot and having a pairing of him and Bryant was intriguing.

Dahl already scooped.

Who would you rather, Tyler Anderson or Musgrove?
 
So the team I traded with for Machado, he hit me up just now with an offer:

I give up: Napoli
I receive: Chris Davis and Piscotty

Thoughts? I can counter and get a pitcher (who I failed to get when I traded Thor to him) instead of Piscotty as my OF is pretty solid as it is. But I love Napoli's RBI/HR ability and Crush has had a second-half slump.

I declined it. Added Musgrove.

Trade deadline for my league was today at noon. It was WILD :lol:. So many trades went down. Here's the moves I made.

Trade 1:
I give - John Lester
I get - 2017 6th round pick

Trade 2:
I give - Manny Machado, Marco Estrada
I get - 2017 4th round pick, 2018 4th round pick

I think I did well. I could've definitely made a deal with my Odor for his picks, but the dude who was interested must've been sleeping or something. We were negotiating last night but he just wasn't answering this morning :\.

Doesn't look like any deals went down today, unless they'll hit the notes in a bit.

A few days later and I'm at peace with my Machado trade. No regrets :smokin sticking by it.
 
Worth using my #1 waiver priority just before the playoffs on Jameson Taillon to replace Jon Gray?
