Em and NaS to me are/were to two clostest to catch up to Big...Em moreso because he was more consistent until Encore, and due to the fact that NaS is thebiggest burnout the world will ever see in their entire life. Dude has all the talent in the world, but is such a burnout pothead he can't use it to thebest of his abilities.
Big is so good it's disgusting...but Em is very good to, and it's like I always say you're only as good as the last sh.. you put out. Because Emhad three very, very good solid albums back to back and as soon as he dropped that dud...boom everyone started to hate him

If you count Infinite than it would be four in a row.
IMO Infinite and TES were his best two
SSLP + MMLP were tied for next
and then came Encore...

^ Really? I wasn't even feeling The Eminem Show too hard. It was okay at first but it lacked replay value. I could sense his downfall with that album. Itwas a huge step down from MMLP. SSLP is slightly less iller than MMLP but they're both classics in my opinion.
Eminem is top 10, but he isn't top 5 in my books. He can change all that if he drops a heat rock with King Mathers. But to be honest, I'm not countingon it. He's washed up.

Yes, dude is talented. But I have no idea why cats think he's THE most talented rapper ever. Like if dude was black he would definitely get his props butit wouldn't be the love he gets cause he stands out as a talented white dude. A lot of things go into talent as far as MCing goes and part of that is beingable to create great/classic material and apply your skills well, things dudes tend to ignore or forget when analyzing Em. He's got a respectablecatalogue- Infinite and MMLP are very nice, SSLP and TES are straight, I didn't even listen to Encore. I honestly feel that these are 20 better overallrappers, in no particular order:

Hes one of my favorites because I can relate to his music, and I dont understand why whenever someone brings up Eminem the first thing they say is "Encore". Yes as an album it was trash but it had 6-7 great songs on it, but last I checked, NaS dropped Nastradamus and he didnt move down in your list, Jay dropped Kingdom Come and he didnt move down on your list, you get my point. I only used those 2 because they seem to be the most popular on NT, but ALOT of your favorite MC's have dropped a weed plate as well. As far as the fact that he doesnt have a classic album, I consider The Eminem Show a classic and MMLP and SSLP both solid albums, but then again this is NT and like others have stated, Wayne is considered top 5 by some people on this board. Top 5 DOA, Im done ranting.
That's probably the main reason I dont feel him. I cannot relate to thoughts of killing my mom and my ex and avid drug use.

To me, the problem with Eminem is his music IMO has little to no reply value. Yeah he has skills and all that but honestly his music and his albums justdon't do it for me. I can't see myself some 5 years down the road playing any of his albums.

Pathetic? Lol. Your laughing at Slick Rick and Lord Finesse gives me an idea of who I'm dealing with right now.
1. The Great Adventures of Slick Rick > Eminem's existence
2. Lord Finesse's style, voice, beats, catalogue, and influence on the game > Em's
3. I'm not sure if you've given Brother Ali a chance but if you've listened to his 3 albums and can say with a straight face that his catalogue isnot better than Em's, I'm not sure what to tell you. Brother Ali is the best white (or albino) rapper EVER- he's more talented(yes, I said it and it's true) and has a superior catalogue, among other things.
4. I don't care who Rakim thinks is the greatest.

No One Can Do It Better + The D.O.C.'s influence on The Chronic and Doggystyle > Em's career
Lord Finesse fathered the "punch-line" style and is probably the best to ever do it. He has two LP's and one EP that are in the 4.5-5 range. He has countless, classic production credits. Top 5 MC/producer all-time.
As far as G Rap, I'm not even going to argue the point because it's inexcusable if you don't already know.
Cormega has 3 solo albums in the 4.5-5 range.
