 The soles werent what I was worried about, it was that nice suede. One wrong placed sneeze or walk past sprinklers and I could see my day ruined. I use baby wipes before I put my shoes away and I could see that even being dangerous. I just have bad luck with lighter shoes. I think they look great but Ive been burned too many times.
 
Yea they shouldve just went with leather as opposed to the tumbled suede/nubuck/durabuck or whatever.

JB doesn't do grey leather uppers tho, I can't think of a grey upper on a retro that has been leather (not including 1s here).
 
These, gym reds, and neoprenes top 3 12s of the year in my eyes. Didn't quite pass on these as I'm more so running the shot clock out and waiting for a sale before I shoot.

They dont need to be 1 dimensional.
A change up would be welcomed, by me @ least.

Ended up getting a pair from the local finishline for 180 with a WC card. Earned myself another as well with the purchase.

Not saying they should or shouldn't. But upon reading your post my first thought was have they done it on a retro before. I couldn't think of anything but shadows and other 1s with grey leather.
 
Went to the mall today and these were at every shoe store which made me glad...hopefully they sit til they reach a nice disco!

With more 12's coming this week they probably will.  Nike really needs to rethink their releases.  Even different models every week is too much, let alone the same model every week.

These will be sitting. The gym reds won't. Guess more people are definitely feeling white and red kicks.

I got mine. No complaints on these 12s. Even though you don't see the carbon fiber on the sole when you wear them. It's a nice touch.
 
Agreed^ in terms of no complaints and the carbon fiber looking fresh.

The gym red xiis definitely look better on feet ,than alone in pics, but I still like these grey uni blues more. Mainly due to the neutrality of them.
 
Nike playing games right now with them not putting them up on the regular site......
