Has anyone here balled in both the KD9 and the Jordan XXX? Opinions as to which is a better ball shoe?

Thanks man, good feedback. I've returned the pre-heats for now. I'm sure they're great on court for most people but sounds like you're pedantic as I am about court feel.
For half court, I feel so much better without a big chunk of midsole underneath my feet. I feel much quicker and more explosive. I will still give the kd 9 a try since there are some shoes that I really enjoy playing in that aren't crazy low to the ground. The Lillard 2 for example. Im glad they thinned out the midsole a bit on the kd 9. Do you own the CL boost 2015? The heel cushion is thicker but your forefoot is really low.

One of my main priorities is court feel as well. How do you like the clb 2015? I'm balling in my Kobe 9s at the moment.

i like em. just gotta get the right size. I went tts and wear thicker socks with em. The forefoot is about the lowest you can get and firm. Just a tiny bit of adiprene, If you jump a lot, pass on em. Outsole durability is below average so definately not good for outdoors. They fit the same play style as the kobe 8,9

I have played multiple games in both the KD9 and Crazylight Boost 2016 Lows, and i alternate the two depending on how my body feels. I wear hex knee sleeves as well because im older, over 30, and if i have joint pains from working out or anything i wear the KD9 because they are softer and the zoom cushioning is more giving. If i feel fresh i go with the crazylight boost. If i had to choose between the two i like the crazylight better because the traction, boost cushioning, and heel to toe transition feel better to me. My only peave on the KDs is that they slow me down laterally and on cuts because they dont feel as stable so i have to really plant and think about it more which slows me down instead of reacting to whats happening in the game. Crazylight Boost 2016 over KD9s and 120.00 is way better than 150.00

I wish those PE's were available. I do prefer those over the primarily white USA colorway we got, if anything the darker colors are easier to keep clean.

those PE's with some gold accents would remind me a lot of the gold medal 7's, maybe we will see a 9 version once USA wins gold

Bout to double on Pre-Heats. They are too nice and this model is bananas

Already hooped in my first pair twice so I'll be able to be mean to em with no worries after I grab a backup

1 ID on the way as well

Mini Review:
Traction on these I found to be pretty damn good. Some wiping involved as usual but a solid 8.75/10. I find the cushioning on these to be amazing and would disagree with anyone saying they are "too soft." Perfect amount of responsiveness and legit feel I can jump higher in these. Obviously a little court feel is sacrificed with the full zoom setup, so keep that in mind if that's a big issue for you. That being said, court feel on these is loads better than something like the lebron X and the full zoom setup is much better as well in comparison to that model, in regards to plushness and responsiveness. The upper is nice and breathable with just about zero break in time and boasts 'true' flyknit as opposed to the kobe 9 and 10. The articulated zoom in the forefoot is a great touch, although I do lose a bit of the benefit being as the shoe is just a slight tad long, meaning my foot doesn't perfectly line up with the groove. I was tempted to go down a half size so I could get the most out of the articulated forefoot, but due to my wide feet that was not an option. I would recommend true size unless you have somewhat narrow feet or are really desperate to get the most out of the articulated zoom.
I'm a 6' 215 athletic wing/guard that likes to slash, explode to the rim, quickly change directions, pull up on jumpshots, Euro Step, and play serious D moving my feet a lot (If I think someone is worthy of the real D that is

)
All in all, these have been a dream to play in and even for casual. When I wear them out I legit start daydreaming about finding a court to play just because of how much I like them.

More pairs to come!

Thanks for the review.  I have the Boost 16's and I'm curious about the KD's.

I still have some Zoom based shoes so no urgency for me, but I want to get a pair of these when I want some more Zoom.  I think the tradeoff with this design is that feeling of instability.  Great cushioning and bounce, but a little iffy going laterally.

I have similar experience in my KD9s. Cushioning is kinda soft and unstable. That lateral instability is a killer for me. I've decided to only wear KD9s for shooting drills or days I'm playing light games. Cushioning is better for casual wear for me. I'm back to playing serious games in my Lillard 2s and Curry 2s. Will try one of the new boost shoes out soon.

I tried out the HD16 Elites and found that the full length zoom to be bouncier and more stable. Really like that zoom setup. Traction is better too.

I have a pair of the preheats and some of the zoom looks sloppy and almost frayed. Is this normal I haven't worn them yet?
