I'm right there with ya. I love the design elements of this shoe, but they only look good DS. One wear and it ruins the smooth, cohesive lines that make the shoe.



I've said this before, but I think the XVs were pretty ahead of their time and overall, it's a very interesting and fashion forward design. They're very over the top and feature a lot of extreme, strictly aesthetic elements. I think the problem people have with the perception of these, it they're a Jordan and don't really fit in well with rest of the lineup. If these had Rick Owens, Raf Simmons or Yohji Yamamoto's name attached, I think people would be much more receptive and eat them up.

XIX SEs and Lows were :nthat:.

XVIIIs were very comfortable but I hated the look. I actually cut the lace covers off of mine and much preferred the look (and breathability) that way.
 
Had these and the og obsidians..WANTED those cool greys BADDD.. A plethora hated the tongue then and they will again now. This was the beginning of the end for me tho as I copped nothing post 16. Will wait for a sale but I think I must cop these for simple nostalgic reasons.
 
Only had one pair of XV back in the day, the white/blue lows. Hopefully some nice colorways drop, wouldn't mind the Obsidians. I'd like to try a pair of mids, since I missed out in 2000.

Dude, I love this model. I love this colorway, but why do they always start with this shoe? The XV has so much more to offer. You got kids calling shoes ugly that they've never seen in person, never seen on feet.



Where's the Flints?
Where's the obsidians?
Where's the lows?


Don't try to force feed people something that they already think they won't like. At least try a new approach. I am happy that they are releasing the shoe unaltered. Thank God for that.

Had the OG Stealths and the Carolinas in high school and loved em. Especially the Stealths! How could anyone not like a Jordan modeled after a stealth jet fighter? That black mid-foot shank plate (I call it) on them was always ill to me. Different stokes I guess. I missed on the last release so I can't wait for these. Lol at the haters.

I'm not even complaining on how they look, but how they perform and feel.
Despite of the innerbootie, the whole upper does not feel really comfortable compared to the
7, 8, 9, 13 for instance.
Despite having Zoom Air, the cushioning feels stiff and the midsole is not only quite stiff but also
not good when you do quick direction changes like crossovers.

Then the creasing behind the toe area looks dumb by creating a big hump when you walk.
The fit is also not good especially when you have quite narrow or flat shaped feet.

This shoes might be nice as a concept, but the execution is simply bad.
I rather play in AJ1 than in these.

I think with now with people wearing more fitted jeans, joggers, track pants they won't mind the tongue that much.
