Nike Air VaporMax

With a Flyknit upper too?! Oh man!

Might as well take my money now lol

Bought these platinums at footlocker today.
I think the whole marketing push got people expecting too much. They do feel similar to other full air max shoes. It's not a totally new experience or anything like that.
I like the color and they are comfortable so was a good purchase for me. I'm happy with them.

I understand liking hype but lets get real and add some facts here.

These are clearly air max.

There may be limited colors, but if you came here for some rare shoe that will make you stand out, my advice is just to not buy nike.

maybe go buy some asics or something, but you are not really expecting them to spend money developing a shoe, and the just sell 10 colors and call it a day are you?

The id was limited because thay all had 3.26 on the tongue. not because the shoe is some legendary grail or something.
This. Now that I've calmed down after the IDs sold out, I realized the only thing I missed out on is the 3.26 on the tongue and the emblem. The multi will be back eventually but I don't see myself willing to pay $250 after today.

Zoom Air is the best cushioning system nike has IMO
this makes me think about this again.. if they have made flyknit racer with cloud like cushioning then just limit train, hype train, collab train.. it would have been competing boost line right now. I dont know why they ruined the entire line up so bad. really the only viable lifestyle runner silhouette from nike.. they havent come up with a single better silhouette since 2012.

Please stop

Finish Line page says more pure plat pairs drop tomorrow at 10am.

Its probably all the stock from the stores. The lady at finish line today said that if we didn't buy the stuff in the store today, they release them all to their online database or whatnot, and will be shipped out.

You're really saying that Nike does not make a shoe that satisfies your needs?

Wow by the looks of this shoe you'd think they're the most comfortable shoe ever. Seems to be far from true.

Flyknit racer is not even the most comfortable every day shoe or even designed as a lifestyle sneaker

Your first statement invalidated whatever response you might have had in my eyes
I think that is why he said flyknit racer plus different cushioning indicating there is comfort issue.  These whole runner hype has to do with sleek design and comfortness. Flyknit racer is their only successful sihlouette in like past decade so if they made that **** more comfy and limited, they probably would be competing boost bro. They just stopped promoting and started to mass produce. Cmon This is not the first time people say this. Just let it past and lets keep talking vapormax. All nikeheads feel pity about racers.

That something new is called the Zoom Vaporfly 4%. Holy moly--I tried it today, and it really blows away everything else I've ever worn.

Don't get me wrong, I really like my Vapormaxes, and it's one of the few shoes I really wanted this year, but it's ultimately a fashion sneaker, which is fine with me.

I need a pair of these bad. I hope they're not just elite marathoner "PE's" though. Any word on whether these will be widely available?

I understand what he was trying to say but i don't agree with it being their only successful new silhouette

And everytime I see someone say they have to compete with boost I have to laugh to myself. Lunarepic Hi is just as comfortable IMO

Boost is the hot chick from HS that will eventually get fat and washed up. NMD is not comfortable when I tried them on and I really wanted to like them.

WITH ALL THAT SAID

I'm very upset to not be in NY where I could have made an attempt for that Triple Black Vapormax... happy I was able to at least grab the Plats

well we talking only those hype runners not just technical good or looking good right? There has been great products I personally purchased but no long lasting hyped ones. You really think nike doesnt care about that? No one thinks adidas has superior technology to begin with. I dont think anyone will say Nike doesnt have equally or more comfy shoes as them.

If you want to wear sneakers that grab attention, these do it and more.

Those who say otherwise, I can't disagree more.  Copped the OGs this morning off SNKRS knowing I could always return them.  Went to FL around noon to check out the Plats Vapors.  Walked out wearing them w/o a second thought after seeing them on foot.  Last time I wore AMs out the door was the blue/grey gradient/black 95s in 2008.

Walking around the mall, everybody was looking at them, and I actually got stopped by one person who wanted to check them out.  An actual 'what are those?'...

.  These are like the AM 95s, and the 'Bullet' 97s.  They just look like different.   IMO, they're the perfect merge of a Flyknit Racer and an Air Max.  I don't think for a second these are 'runners.'  These are attention grabbers, and people will either love them or hate them.  No middle.

As someone who have has wearing AMs since my parents put them on my feet 30 years ago, I put these right up there with the 1s, 90s, 95s, and 97s.  These is what the the Flyknit Max should have been, but they felt like cinder blocks compared to these.

Between the PG1, and these, it's nice to see Nike get their mojo back.

BTW.  Size?  TTS.  They fit kinda like a Flyknit Racer, but in the toe box, there's a little room like a Kobe 11 (if that makes sense).

"they havent come up with a single better silhouette since 2012" to me means anything

How does making a shoe limited increase competition?

Just look at what nike did today with the IDs... If they had those multis available for longer than they were, they would have moped up with money....

because people want it more if it is limited?
