I am too, I think it was the price. That and I didn't think I'd like the shoe as much as do.

There should be a triple black vapormax releasing in June, if anyone is looking for a triple black ID pair.

As we await the Day to Night collection along with many other colorways, I wanted to ask since I'm curious.

Obviously, the VaporMax has been a hit despite taking its huge load of polarizing opinions. Any thoughts about anticipating the next iteration of the flagship VaporMax model? Should they make a new version, or do you guys think the VaporMax is THE main shoe much to the likeliness of the Flyknit Racer?

I was wondering the same thing. As an example opposite of the Racer, they really moved on quickly from the LunarEpic to the LE2.

So far it seems like they are going very slowly with the colorways. Right now it's mostly tonal stuff. I can see them moving on to a phase with more color blocking (like the original pics a couple posts up) or multi-color knit (like the Oreo). So I can see them milking out this model for a while, especially if they keep tightly limiting the stock of every release.

Personally I think they'll try to keep interest in this VaporMax model and keep it the main one for as long as they can, while releasing spin-offs/hybrids with the VM unit. Most of the design contest stuff for AM day featured hybrids with the VM sole, so I almost think they're shooting for next AM Day to roll out hybrids in general, meaning they plan on having this shoe be the "main" one until then at least.

I feel like the flyknit racer was produced in much larger quantities than this shoe. I think this is all fake hype with nike on the vapormax.

I would think maybe 2 or 3 years with this model of the bag. AM360 was from 06-08 and from 09 we got the Air Max 2009. That air bag last until 2013 when they switched to a different air bag and the one thats still currently used in the Air Max 2017.

I dont think its fake Nike hype. Im pretty sure they do extensive testing on the air units to ensure the integrity of the product is stable and safe for consumers. Its still pretty brand new I dont think they would risk safety and quality over quantity.

^ i was saying the popularity of this shoe is mostly because of Nike making them limited. Sure, a lot of people in this thread like the shoes, but I would say that they are not highly sought after, even with the limited supplies.

But it cant be just the sneaker community a lone that sells out the first few releases. We'll see how it goes on Thursday. This is basically their first big launch targeting a broad variety of consumers with multiple colorways on the same day.
