Nike HyperAdapt: 1.0 and Adapt BB

Soooooo you can't buy ?
you can buy. but if you have a trial, you're not guaranteed the size you may want. not to say you wont get it, but there's no promise of it walking in. i heard people who went for sizes clearly not theirs where shut down sometimes.

so soho is the place to be that sucks. Did anyone else book at the nike + clubhouse at 45 grand for tomorrow? Would like to know

so the shoes you try on are the shoes that you buy?

I walked by 45 Grand today. They must have plenty of every size. I saw an older guy walk out with 4 pairs not sure how that happened. Nike pisses me off when I see that stuff. Walked in seeing if they allowed walkins or had any cancelled appointments. They quickly got me out.

they'd need to have 144 if every attendee truly has to option to buy.

how the heck did he manage to handle 4 big, heavy boxes even if they were bagged up lol

no surprise they rushed you out, that place is always by appt only, surprised they even used it for these events. asking about cancelled slots isnt a bad idea tho, gotta imagine out of towners have a few of the spots

Breezy I promise you I saw it. The boxes where very large and they where in bags. I was there with four of my friends. This was the same time the chubby red head with the beard who was possibly a manager said they had no walk ins. I asked why this guy got 4 and got no response just a blank stare.

Sounds like your describing a reseller who has a big time following on IG. He posted 2-3 pairs for sale yesterday.

Ps.

Just throwing it out there again.

If anyone has an extra reservation this weekend for a size 10.5-11.5, ideally a size 11 and wouldn't mind giving it to a NTer who won't resell and wear these, please let me know. We can work something out and I can throw in extra.

whom?

Haven't been here in a while but I did manage to snag a Sun reservation at 45 Grand. If there's not a guaranteed cop, that's pretty messed up considering they had you provide your size when signing up.

McKlarenshop or something like that. Big tall dude who charges ever more than Flight Club but has a good following and deals with celeb's lol

Currently asking $1500 on 350 V2 Blk/Wht preorders while others are asking $700-800

They have the shoes. If you have an invite you will get your shoes.

Don't mean to scare people. you're probably good if you have trial spot, just understand Nike has some wriggle room as opposed to the SoHo event which is guaranteed. Also keep in mind that at SoHo it's basically a trial, in the sense that you aren't forced to buy the shoe.

How are you all feeling about the retail price?

I think it is really high!

This is expected with any new technology. The shoes have been in R&D since the movie premiered back in 1989. Nike has to recoup the money spent in R&D. The first version is always a shocker. Prices will eventually fall and different versions will be introduced.

I remember when flats screen tvs were 10k when they first hit the market. You could only get them at the really high-end home audio stores.

yeah with this price you are paying the early adopter's fee which is always gonna be expensive with any new tech that comes out. I'm not against the price anymore but i won't be jumping through hoops to secure a pair

After I saw the price, I knew it was to be expected.........especially with the rationale you explained.

At this point, we should wait at least a few years down the road until they can get the technology to a point where it can be as affordable as "sadly" an expensive pair of Lebrons..........which is the probably the only compromise you can expect from autolacing sneakers.

Enjoy! Still waiting to see if they open more spots..... I'd like a chance to buy a pair.

The idea is really cool-
I'm pretty sure Nike will find away to make these GR in other shoes (Lebrons Air Max and other)

yo that was one of the coolest things i ever experienced. def the coolest sneaker experience. just got home from my appointment in soho. the nike people were awesome. theres like this roped off area that everyones standing around and you tell the guy you have an appointment. my guy was more excited than i was and they were genuinely into it you can tell. i asked them to take a pic with me and they were all like honored it was cool lol. anyway it goes down like this

you tell them you have a reservation and they bring you into the roped off section where they have the shoes on display, some lockers with water and carrying bags for the shoes.

they ask you if you want to try them on or just purchase. so i was like nah i gotta do the whole thing.

so you sit down and they ask about what you know about the shoes, are you into sneakers, like conversation type stuff while another guy brings out the box.

the unbox it for you and you slip both shoes on and then they make you stand up and the lacing happens. tbh ive seen tons of videos, countless pics and nothing can prepare you for that moment when they self lace its something you gotta experience.

it was actually pretty funny the first thing i did was smell them and the nike guys lost it lol.

the whole thing was awesome. from just the experience itself to the shoes i told them i felt like a little kid on christmas lol.

like ive been buying sneakers for over 20 years and this is something ill never forget. im sure everyone has their own memories of buying certain kicks so you know what i mean.

i know theyre not the coolest looking shoes, or might resemble some boring monarchs, but i cant explain what the experience as a whole is like its crazy. theyre also very comfortable btw.

anyway i sound like a loser being this geeked up but heres some pics. i hope anyone who wants these has an opportunity to do what i did at Soho today, its something youll never forget.
