Jenna will be perfect for the challenge

Nah.
Too much austin crying.
Ol girl role model is kylie jenner :x
A white girl trying to be a black woman is her inspiration eh?

Bout you love her lips. :smh:

Crazy how changing the name of corn rows to "boxer braids" make the hairstyle a completely different thing :smh:

People think cultural appropriation is BS

I'm really surprised she likes any of the Jenners/Kardashians since most are married/dating Black men.

Well I always assumed corn row were straight to the back braids. Like ai joints, Alicia Keys. Box braids have been a thing since the 90s. Always though the difference was they are individual hanging joints. Like connected by a little piece of hair and not going straight back in a row... I could be over thinking all this thot **** tho.

Nah they're taking Black hairstyles and renaming them and pretending like they are new styles.

Zendaya commented on this

"Well, first of all, braids are not new. Black women have been wearing braids for a very long time, and that’s another part of the frustration. We’ve been using that as a protective style, as a hairstyle. That’s been in our culture and our community for a very long time. So it’s not this new, fresh, fun thing. Another problem is it became new and fresh and fun, because it was on someone else other than a black woman. You know what I mean? So that is the frustration. That’s where the culture appropriation element comes into play."

"My girl Amandla [Stenberg], who is super dope, brought up another problem. She wished society loved black people as much as they love black culture. That’s the truth. The credit gets taken away from us when we make certain statements or when we do certain things. That is the frustration. People want to be around for the positives and the things that we bring as far as culture, but they don’t want to be around when we have problems or when we’re getting shot in the streets. You know what I’m saying? You have to be there for the whole experience. You can’t just decide when you want to be a part of our culture."

That's why I have the sig that I have. They love the culture but hate the people who created it.

I'm not saying that they are not, I'm just stating box braids been around since the 90s, early 90s. My sister been doing them joints for 20 years, they just were called something different, wasn't corn rows tho. When the resurgence happened a few years back every body were calling em poetic justice joints. We made em popular again then of course like every thing we make popular they start doing it.

They aren't talking about box braids. I know what you are talking about but that's not the style in question at least not yet.

I guess they haven't found a non black person wearing box braids for inspiration :rolleyes

"Boxer braids" are what we have been calling cornrows, plaits, and banana braids etc.

Boxer braids are "inspired" by female Boxers/UFC fighters.

O **** they white washing straight backs now? Don't tell me that b, would ruin my day. "This style came from female boxers actually" the day I hear that in person is the day I lose it.

Why we talking about braids and appropriation now? :nerd:

Cuz Kylie Jenner was mentioned?

Did you watch the "S*** They Should Have Shown" episode?

There was multiple clips of Jenna talking about how much she likes/idolizes Kylie and talking about getting "boxer" braids.

I watched it and I think I only paid attention to the part where she said she likes Kylie.

Did not hear her mention boxer braids  That's why I was lost when dude just brought up boxer braids.

I see now.

theres only 2 eps left. apparantly she gets really reckless with her words to cj next week and thats when the real fight goes down. she goes all out and mentions cotton picking and **** is what I read.

they should go back to letting people get jobs instead of these "missions" and twists

In the big trailer for the season there was a fight where it looked like CJ was getting it with someone in a chair so I guess that's what's coming.

Jenna embarrassed the hell out of herself calling that boy's name over like that. Deion didn't have to tell her to shut up and ****. She was drunk let her be. I don't know why CJ was crying after that scuffle. It wasn't even a fight. She did what you do with drunk people. Shake them up a bit then tell them to chill.

She was drunk too( I think) but she was crying because of "how hard it was for her to hold back from beating Jenna's *** when they let her back in the house.

I've been there where I couldn't put the hands on someone that was right in my face after an altercation but, she did way too much once she got in that confessional.

Alcohol though.

CeeJai makes her bad decisions when drunk, and then apologizes for them when sober

I'm sure she will be trying to clear the air with Jenna in the next episode when she is sober, and then going bezerk when liquored up again.

Yeah man, I saw that and meant to comment on it.

I found it funny and ironic a ignorant racist redneck idolizes Kylie Jenner

When she talked about her lips and her hair I

Zendaya was dead on

For those of you who keep saying CeeJai overreacted and was being dramatic...

RT @Dean_BP: Wonder if they'll show @MTVCeeJai being told she's a nappy headed *** who needs to go somewhere & pick cotton? At this point idek...smh

RT @tweetatchris: When placed in a situation where there is continued racial hatred being directed at you, you don't always stay nice. Love you @MTVCeeJai [emoji]10084[/emoji]️

Jenna is lucky all she did was get dragged. We have to keep in mind we've literally about 10 hours of a 3 month experience. I'd wager that Jenna was even more racist than she was shown.

Wow :smh: That editing

They say the racial tantrum as spoke about above is after that altercation we saw last week, not prior to, right?

I wouldn't take issue with it if it was genuine disappointment but it was a dramatized alcohol induced reaction. Fake outrage. I'd be willing to bet she apologizes to Jenna next episode because she realizes it isn't a good look amd still out of her character, all things considered. She does seem to be a woman of high character that can handle things like Jenna in a more....well a different way than what she chose.

They've been known to edit stuff like that for a long time (well, every show really), so it's good when the whole story is brought to light

And I thought the whole "boxer braids" thing was just something on Twitter, didbt know people were serious  the two straight back braids is what most people in the 90s and half the 00s were getting when they'd set up late appointments and just needed SOMETHING done to their hair  that's the quickest type of braids available

are you serious?

Earlier in that episode she talking like all was forgiven. Hugging her, saying she loved her and ****. We family. All I could do was SMH, CJ was real weak for that. I wouldn't **** with that redneck AT ALL. Stay away from me and I'll stay away from you.

And why the **** is Dean even talking about it, he the same sellout trying to **** that redneck. Sorry ***.

About what exactly?

So papi flirted with everything that breathed and still goes home scoreless or did they edit out that out as well? :nerd:

.
Precisely. She butted her way into that conversation between Chris and Jenna and Dionne and made it a point to "care" for Jenna and say "you aint gotta walk through that ish alone etc etc etc."
