You're not current, that's all it boils down to. Everyone who complains about the "Hip-Hop today" are individuals who no longer stay up on current artist either because they don't have the time or they don't know who to check for. If your point of reference is the stuff being played on the radio, you already lost. There is a lot of good music out nowadays and the internet has made it easier than ever to discover it.

Rarely listen to rap now, maybe I out grew it but all the new rap songs sound the same to me IMO.
Only really listen to the Weeknd and Electro music/ EDM now

Yeah I only went to one EDM festival called Day Glow while I was in college saw Pretty Lights and some other acts. Was on hella drugs and could only handle that **** for like two hours b it was too muchRepped

But I do seem at peace with that I'm just not into hip-hop anymore. Plus I have been to a billion EDM festivals (edc 4 times and etc. Love seeing tons of girls at them while I'm rolling) Plus listening to a podcast with EDM at the gym is a lot easier for me to work out than skipping songs over and over
