UNDER ARMOUR CURRY 3

Lows cant come soon enough. Hopefully it fixes some of the lockdown issues people have with the mids.

I doubt they glow haven't seen any pics of it showing otherwise.

I like the dark grey tongue and medial side on the Seth Curry, I mean Grey Matter. Will be buying once they're on sale.

Got my Dub Nations in from UA.

Pros: Really like the colorway in person. Fit is definitely TTS for me. Cushioning feels very similar to the 2.5s - basically the Charged from the 2s with a comfortable insole on top. Traction seems good on my hardwood floors.

Cons: Do not like the higher cut in the heel. I get significant Achilles pressure and pain after just walking around the house. The shoes are going back because of this.

Pretty bummed these didn't work out for me. Looks like the lows will be very good this year, so I'll try those out instead.

Definitely the high ankle collar is similar in feel to a retro Jordan 1 High.

To me, the best part of the 3's is the materials on the upper, although I'd probably want to put the Anafoam on the lateral side. The Charged cushioning needs to be put out to pasture at this point. The insole does add some comfort, but I'd like a bit more rebound in my shoes. I know Steph likes a firmer set up, which I can totally understand (needs all the reaction time he can get) but the pairs released to the general public should have something more dynamic in the cushioning department. Solid shoe all around though.

Little disappointed in the forefoot traction. Rather they stuck with herringbone throughout and not add the bridge design, where there are smooth spots. Majority of us don't play on clean courts so dust gonna get settled in the grooves rather quickly. The Curry 2 traction worked well so I don't know why they took a step back.

I like the light weight quality of the shoe. The weight is evenly distributed. Doesn't feel like you're wearing them. The upper is nice, needs no breaking time. The collar height works well with the lacing to keep your foot contained. No achilles pressure for me. The high wrapping midsole cups my heel/achilles nicely.

Going true to size and letting your foot get settled in should be the move to prevent heel slippage.

The cushion is good with the stock insoles but if you want better court feel swap a micro g insole into it.

In summary, if the 2 worked for you there is no rush to get the 3 right away if you're not the type to get a new shoe once they come out. Definitely wait for discount worthy.

8/10

Nice summary thanks !

I wear a 10.5 on Curry 2 and I tried a size 10 on the 3s, if you want that snug like fit like the Curry 2 get a  .5 down
ohwell.gif
but might be a problem once you start playing ball on the 3 because going .5 your toes are slightly rubbing against the edge of the shoe and they materials used on the 3s aren't as soft as the Curry 2s, so going .5 size is ok if you on wearing these casually but if your going to play ball on these I suggest getting your normal size

your toes might start to hurt with that constant rubbing

I tried half size down. I have narrow feet. It felt pretty good. May try my true size just be sure.

My Reign Waters are on there way from Concepts. Can't wait to get these abd try them out. I don't really understand how some are going down .5 in these? I have a normal to slightly narrow foot & there is ZERO chance I could do it unless I wanted my big toe albasically pushing against the inside end of the shoe (which would make it so uncomfortable). TTS is goo with just enough room at the end for toe movement.

Oh and did anyone see the Blue/Yellow pair Steph wore last night against the Blazers? SICK!!! Anafoam was yellow and wrapped around the back. Lateral side was blue. Saw a pic on IG but I can't save the pic. Hope someone can post it. This is an awesome colorway.

I'm curious if they release that many color ways of different colored Anafoam as the rest of the show because it seemed they did a lot of that on the 2.5s. I just have a weakness for different color on the medial side. The 2.5s, and Melo M12s are great. They always remind me of the And1 Tau Chi....seeing Vince win the Dunk Contest in those.....wooo....sorry for side tracking

Curry just traded in for the dub homes for the yellow heels! One qtr switcharoo
