Lol. I think that nike air logo on the tongue was originally stitched.
I can see it peelin off the retro for sure.

Ill have to see in person at the outlets for under 100, like every nike retro.
That " its not the same" feeling when looking down always just makes em feel fake
 
Been waiting forever for these. First kicks I bought with my own money. I remember asking for a ride to the mall to pick up the black ones and my sister was fronting on taking me. Remember grabbing them damn keys and taking myself and I was only like 14. LOL In retrospect the kicks were so bad *** it was worth it.

Hey buddy, I think he means the Air Strong Mid, not the Air Max2 Strong Hi that came out a few years ago. I got a picture of the original Strongs below. It was the shoe that Webber wore in his Nike commercial with Spree in the barbershop. These would be a great release if brought back. Always liked the design.

I had the Emeralds before. The heel bump (air unit) was noticeable but after awhile I was ok with it. Overall a very nice shoe.

Same here. Whenever I first put on my pair of Slates, ID instantly notice the heal bump. But after a few minutes, I'd forget about it. Can't wait for these. Just hope they release more OG colors.

I like the gum bottom cw be interested to see those in person, I wasnt a fan of the traction on these (too similar to the jordan 6 and 7 IMO) but with a gum bottom and a mesh weave upper they could be decent.
 
It's good to see these come back. I'm especially surprised and pleased with the black/gum colorway with the speckled midsole. I'm happy Nike controlled themselves and did a SIMPLE retro colorway of an already "busy" looking sneaker.

Really, any of the posted colorways could be copped on sale. Definitely gonna be following this thread.
 
Well at least if Nike is dumb enough to NOT release the Slates, I can buy any pair on discount to sole swap my OGs. But it would be A LOT easier if Nike would just release all the OG colors!
