Anybody else can't find their "passion" in life?

And when I say passion, I'm referring to something that can be monetized, whether it's your day job or business.

About to turn 25 this year, and still have no idea what I really want to do every single day. Feels like I'll never achieve that dream of "if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life"

My only true passions in life so far are basketball and tattoos, and those aren't really viable "day jobs"

Passion don't pay, bro. Some of the most miserable people I know (in terms of their job) make six figures. The happier ones make far less.

Also, you're 25. Quit freaking out about it. I'm 30 and just recently put myself on a path towards something I feel good about. It took me a LONG time to get there, and I'm still relatively young.

Welp, you just said it yaself. No come up to be gained playing basketball unless you can go pro, and almost every millennial in the US is fond of tattoos.

Im 21. I went into IT. Was it my first choice? Nah. Wasn't even my second... But im good at what I do, earn a damn good wage for a 21 year old, and im content doing it.

The come up only stops when you do papi. Create your world.

Um, what?

Just because you're making 6 figures doesn't mean you're doing something that you're passionate about.

Passion most certainly pays.

OP, you're young, you have time.

You're into tattoos? Start tattooing.

Find something where you don't need an alarm clock to wake up in the AM, you should be excited to get up and go work on your craft.

Life becomes much easier when you find your purpose, you'll find it eventually.

Na, man, it's really not.

You claim passion doesn't pay and then cite you knowing people who make 6 figures as a reason why.

The 2 have nothing to do w/ each other.

Dudes who are miserable making 6 figures are only passionate about money, not their craft, that's why they're miserable.

From experience, it's not so much about finding your passion as it is about holding on to it.

There will be a million obstacles you must overcome in order to see your path clearly and monetize your passion.

The only advice I can give you is, no one cares about you or your dreams.

The more you comprehend that to your core, the more chance you'll have in achieving success in finding your passion.

OH MY GOD. MY POINT WAS THAT I KNOW PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT PURSUING THEIR PASSION AND MAKING SIX FIGURES AND ARE MISERABLE WORKING AT THEIR JOBS. MEANWHILE, THE PEOPLE I KNOW PURSUING THEIR PASSIONS MAKE FAR LESS AND ARE MORE SATISFIED. HOW HARD IS THAT TO COMPREHEND??????

I read somewhere that the most successful people who do what they love had something in common: They thought about three circles that intertwined. Each circle was something they truly love in life, the center portion that intertwined all three is what they ended up doing.

I love sports, I love food, I love travel. If I add it all up I'm supposed to host a show on food network or the travel channel going stop to stop at different sports venues and trying unique stadium/arena/ballpark food. But Guy Fieri kinda does that already frown.gif

:lol ...that post was grammatically cringe-worthy though.

Unless you were trying to illustrate that either path has an equal shot at making someone six figures, I think you forgot to throw a "not" in there laugh.gif

I didn't forget anything.

Passion and money made don't necessarily go hand in hand.

I know people making millions that have "jobs".

I know people making 60-150k doing things they love.

Homie said passion doesn't pay in one post, then tells us he has people making avg money who are happy because they chase their passion.

So, yes, passion pays.

Maybe not always financially, but it pays.

I think the point was you missed a word (99% just careless typo) which confused both sides.

Now can we please get back on topic? Yes, selfish OP

Yes, OP, we most certainly can.

Also, selfish is a good thing, stay that way.

Picasso quotes

-The meaning of life is to find your gift....the purpose of life is to give it away.

- My mother said to me, 'If you are a soldier, you will become a general. If you are a monk, you will become the Pope.' Instead, I was a painter, and became Picasso.

if you dont know what youre passionate about dont rush to find it op.

Find what you like and master it. Whether it's tatooing or something else, but the trick is to master it. It takes time, and lots of it, your whole life to be precise. You can have a day job on the side too, but your passion will eventually overshadow it as your mastery of your craft grows and the $$ will follow. That whole 6 figure talk is for people trying to sell you that $300 corvette. Don't mind them.

Haven't found my passion either OP, I'm 24 about to graduate in May with a degree in a subject I don't care about, and little to no money in the bank. I'll find my way eventually but right now it is getting harder and harder to be optimistic
