When my hair was long I wondered if it would look cool if I had dreadocks.

video says employee, was she an employee or a student?

that was funny  I got dreads and I'm not mad at son. they both look stupid though.

If she really feels that way, then Black women shouldn't have straight hair. She should tell Black women with straight hair to embrace their African culture as opposed to telling White people they can't have Black people culture hair.

Dreads are pretty sick. I'd rock them if I could.

I think she was more upset his dreads are ugly though and gives a bad rep to dreads.

Not all Africans have curly or wooly hair though.

I don't think I've ever associated white people rocking dreads with black culture. 99% of the time they're smelly cargo pant wearing hippies or crazy looking goths that I want nothing to do with

Also, in general, I see nothing wrong with embracing styles of other cultures as long as you respect the entire culture as well. Don't treat it as a costume/gimmick/fad and don't ignore injustices against that culture.

I see where she was going, and maybe, just maybe she had a point.

But she totally went about it the wrong way.
