If she really feels that way, then Black women shouldn't have straight hair. She should tell Black women with straight hair to embrace their African culture as opposed to telling White people they can't have Black people culture hair.

I don't think I've ever associated white people rocking dreads with black culture. 99% of the time they're smelly cargo pant wearing hippies or crazy looking goths that I want nothing to do with
Also, in general, I see nothing wrong with embracing styles of other cultures as long as you respect the entire culture as well. Don't treat it as a costume/gimmick/fad and don't ignore injustices against that culture.
