they are different in their own sense. the 80s was the spring board for the 90s movement however they are both great in their own style. you can't really compare them

Yeah alot of ya underestimating 80's influences.

And in retrospect,

80's hiphop fits > 90's hiphop fits.

Da baggy era...it was fun, but damm...

Born in 78
So I was a child in the 80's.
The toys and cartoons were on point.
Nintendo tho...
Lakers Showtime

Was already 12 yrs old when 1990 hit.
Enjoyed the 90s rap, shoes, etc.

Lived it all.
80s kid
90s teen
2000's adult

Perfect definition of a Generation X'er.

Yeah you really won

Only good thing about the 80's are my bday(88), hip-hop(rakim,epmd,kool g,etc), and Mike Tyson.

90's was a lot better in terms of popular culture, sports, music, fashion, politically.

although i have no say on this because i was born in 88', i think its a toss up. I think 90s had better music and sneakers only. O yea and politics lol. but 80s had fashion and like someone else said just the vibe of the 80's from what i see in movies and what ppl tell me was crazy. The 00's dont compare and 2010- present isnt lookin too good either. The only thing i like about now is that i feel like we are getn back to that great 80s fashion. Fashion wise this day in age feels like the 80s IMO.

80s for tv/cartoons hands down... but 90s for music slight edge there because of hip hop mid 90s... 80s gave us icons that still make waves today..

da 90's
no question

alot of you guys posting here was too young or swimming in your daddys sack to remember

Aside from the Batman and X-Men animated series, the 90's have NOTHING on the 80's in the cartoon department.

Transformers (Gen. 1)
GI Joe
Thundercats
Centurions
MASK
Thundarr the Barbarian
Voltron
Robotech
Super Friends
Spider-Man & His Amazing Friends
COPS
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (which carried over into the 90's)
Silverhawks
The Original Ghostbusters
Robotech
The Mr. T cartoon

80s Saturday mornings > 90s Saturday mornings

Born in 87, but I soooooooooooooo love the 90's! I will admit, the 80's had the better movies. As far as everything else(Shoes, diversity, music, and etc.), the 90's hands down! Hell, most of my shoes are from the 90's lol.
