So i was watchin CNN da Eighties, and before i saw it i was fairly certain da 90's was da peak era of cultural influence in terms of dopeness..after da show was over i wasn't so sure.. :wow:

Da 80's Television game was strong, movies too...so much so they bled onto da 90's via re-runs...

What ya think?
 
I was born in the mid 80s so im biased towards the 90s but the 80s does seem like a great decade and I'll definitely check out that special when I get a chance.
 
i know a lot of ppl older than myself

the stories from the 80s sound cool, but nah I'm glad i grew up in the 90s

if i grew up in the 80s i woulda sold drugs with you ninjahood.......life would been a lot better or a lot worse


I've seen New Jack City and the rest of the movies plenty of times, i woulda been a really bad guy

I mean i aint gonna front....da 80's had ALOT of my family members eating goooooood. So much of da stories they told it sounds like straight outta a rap video, a mission in GTA, a porno, or Saving Private Ryan.. :lol: :smh:


I was born in da 80's but by da time i really knew what was going on we was already about to head into 1990.

Da 80's so strong alot of its influences survives to this day.

Music, movies, fashion..etc..

Da 90's when u take it into acount feels like a DOPE sequel to a already great movie...hmm
 
80's had Pat Benatar in her prime but the 90's had Pokémon...

This is a tough one, bros.

i dated their daughters, still deal with em too :lol:


my colombian her father did a LONG bid he got out in his 50s......like 2 years ago, went to jail when she was like 2 or 3

Even things like da Fresh Prince of Belair was just da sequel and arguably a spin off of an already established 80's rapper.

TMNT was a successful 80's comic book first.

Jordan, MTV, Michael Jackson, west coast's golden era, Madonna in her prime all happened or started in da 80's and us 90's kids caught it hittin da ground running..

For example,

When 1st bought da chronic, i aint know none of da NWA back story, i had to get older to appreciate it more.

Terminator 2 is Straight classic,

80s movies was the **** tho. The more I watch the more I always wonder how it would've been growing up in the 80s. I was born in 89, I still would pick to grow up in the 90s if I had a choice. Just off the strength of Pokémon and power rangers. Changed a ***** life.

This is battle of da titans.

One things for sure is da 2000's was only poppin till around 2008ish...everything else till present day bleeds into eachother isnt even worth comparing...
