Born in 78
So I was a child in the 80's.
The toys and cartoons were on point.
Nintendo tho...
Lakers Showtime

Was already 12 yrs old when 1990 hit.
Enjoyed the 90s rap, shoes, etc.

Lived it all.
80s kid
90s teen
2000's adult

Perfect definition of a Generation X'er.

Music in the 80s might be my personal favorite era of of music.

People like Whitney, Madonna, New Edition, Brenda Russell. Soul Train. THAT Streets of Rage style of music (I know the game came out in the 90s).

Just a great era man.

The 80s had a great, unique sound

Cherrelles music embodies that early jimmy jam terry funk

Regarding sneakers tho

80s vs 90s is a no Brainer choice.

Its like having to choose between beyonce and hilary duff or sumthin

I believe the Golden Era was a combination of both decades, 1986-1994.
I was going to say the exact same thing...

I was born in 1981, and I didn't like the late 90s. There's just something off about that period. I think it's how everyone was smug and thought that we were so technologically advanced, but looking back the technology was so crap. The early Internet was frustrating and mad slow. Cell phones started to become mainstream in the second half of the 90s, but they were oversized crap with antennas. So many video games were developed just to impress with fancy 3D graphics and polygons, but looking back the gameplay was poor and few of those games stood the test of time and are seen as classics. All those 3D fighting franchises are dead today with the exception of Tekken and most people feel that 2D fighting is superior. Everything was "virtual": Virtual reality, virtual sex, virtual this, virtual that.

Also, I didn't really experience the early 80s, but looking back at the 80s, the best things seem to come from the second half of the decade.

80's vs 90's is like current Beyonce vs Amber Rose

Lateee 80's-90's kicks dunk on Forces, Conventions, Dunks, and whatever garbage Adidas put out during that era.

Sneaker "culture" was literally born in the 80's.

Run DMC pushing shells. Kids putting the fat laces in them.

Adidas Forum, Attitude, Conductor.

Dealers wearing all flavor Filas, Dunks, Forces etc.

Jordans and the violence around their releases.

First Air Max model. Air Revolution with the bubble.

I feel like I spent most of the 90's in Timberlands

Eh, we'll agree to disagree here

Not a fan of the KB8.

I believe Adidas rolled out the Equipment line in the 90's though, and I liked a grip of those.

Never a fan of Uptempos (the "AIR" on the side was just OD to me) or the Penny line after the 1st. Or Foams. Deions were cool. Never copped.

Questions are dope though.

There's nothing out of the 90s that was universally adored and uniting as this man's work.

But everything else da 90s held it down for.
