Black Girl Gets Asked To Prom, Given KFC "Tiara", and She Accepts!?!?

how isn't it racist? it's a ******* white boy asking a black girl to prom with a big *** sign that says i prefer dark meat
It's stupid I agree, but I personally don't think it's racist.

Yet you still chose to pull multiple hypotheticals out of your *** to justify this behavior as no big deal. Why?
because that's how I personally felt regarding the video. I could be entirely wrong, chick could've been too embarrassed and weak to stick up for herself and said yes and is home crying herself to sleep. Could go both ways, I'm not going to judge the situation or condemn anyone based on that particular video. Yes they are stupid high school kids but to label them as racist is a tad bit farfetched to me

I've been seeing HS kids asking each other to prom in the most outlandish and unnecessary ways lately.
All for the gram YAMBS
Fixed
Dudes aint gotta do all that extra for the yambs. They doing it for everyone else out there watching
Agreed, but most HS kids are super thirsty and wanna taste some sugar walls after prom.

I would know. Henny + BBQ after prom --

You know, I expected the white people in here to not think it was that big of deal, I usually let them indulge in their own ignorance, but I'm straight up torn and pissed about the blacks in here thinking this **** is ok. Straight up **** ****

Some of my brothers and sisters adopt the welp in aint me strategy/defense until they have that come to jesus moment then everything changes.

Of course we want people to see us as a person not color .... but reality is a mf

no need to bring up race, whether it's white black Korean blue or whatever it aint that serious to most. If someone feels that strong about they should find the kid and beat some sense into him

just be real and cosign this racism like yall really want to

:smh:
how is it racist? He's taking a black chick to prom. It's stupid I agree but home girl ain't wyle out so why would I? High school children do a lot more idiotic things, glad I ain't participate in all that nonsense

The same way plenty of slave master's had black fetishes. You can be racist and be attracted to women of the race. You're posts in this thread reek of #AllLIVESMATTER and "I'm not racist, my best friend is black"

you don't see my *** in the video being nonsensical. If anyone thinks I'm racist due to my comments on here **** it I'm racist then. I don't need anyone's approval on anything, and yes some of my best friends are black, but that don't mean anything

Almost reminds me of jada smith, she had a point that was very valid, unfortunately she only brought it up after it affected her husband

I swear boy white people are the first to always say stop bringing up race. This ****** gave that girl a KFC bucket crown based purely off a faux black stereotype, and we're supposed to look at this and leave race out of it :smh:

no, but you keep saying my perspective is different because of the color of my skin, leave that out of it

Hypothetical: Boy asks Jewish girl to prom with a sign that says "i like Big Noses" and something to symbolize being money hungry (Two common Jewish stereotypes). Would you see a problem with that?

Sorry but since trayvon Martin I've realized that's just how it is, that does not mean you're racist or that you hate blacks, hell you could probably be the Coolest dude there is. But growing up there's certain things that blacks experience that whites don't have to go through which makes them look at things differently.

Look at this thread for example, you have numerous people telling you it's offensive, that's because we know the stereotypes and and thoughts that go into **** like this. But regardless of us telling you how we feel you continue to say it wasn't a big deal. Maybe if growing up you heard the same **** spewed to you your whole life your opinion would be different.

This. I dont know homie enough to call him a racist, but he's def a part of the demographic that think racism has ended and that everyone is colorblind when it comes to race.

nope

yea you are right about that, but I can't control those things, only thing I can control are my thoughts and my thoughts are it aint that serious, to me at least. I'm offering my perspective and cats offered theirs too, doesn't mean nt gotta agree on everything. What I do agree on is this and the whole concept of promposal is stupid, and that's why I didn't engage in it while I was in hs. I personally wouldn't label th kid as a racist but others might do so, I respect that

Gotta be wittier.

Maybe something about plowing or a "have it Yahweh" pun. Or dress up like a hundred dollar bill with a sign that says "how bout now?"

Both of these kids belong in the wildin thinking their doing it thread :smh:

The girl lacks self-respect and the kid is an idiot.

I wanna find an excuse to this behavior, but since they're going to prom they have to be at least 17/18 and both should know better :smh:

but if people are telling you directly it's racist then you would think it would change your views but it doesn't. And that's exactly the problem white people have. they don't want to accept the fact that they are racist.  this thread and your responses specifically are a microcosm of what goes on in America.

if there was a black dude with a sign saying "everything tastes better on a cracker (dave chappelle line)" and gave a white chick a ritz cracker box made tiara then there would be no question that it's racist.

when it comes to things like this you can't give someone the benefit of the doubt that it's not racist. people are telling you directly its racist and it offends people then it really doesn't matter the kids intentions at that point.  its racist.

it offends those particular people. I could be walking down the street and say good morning to someone and that could be construed as racist. Does that make it so? Nope, not to me at least. So cats here telling me it's racist is their perspective on the situation, not mine.

You go from "thats how i personally feel" to " im not gonna judge". Which is it? I think what you are failing to grasp is the fact that none of it was intended to offend you personally. Its not an offensive stereotype about YOU or YOUR family, so it only seems logicl that YOU dont feel any kind if way about it. You're on the outside looking in, telling everyone else its not that bad, even after admitting yourself that you dont know whether it was that bad or not. Your comments themselves are offensive and dismissive of how others might view it, you know, people who are actually black and have to deal with hurtful, offensive stereotypes in real life. Basically, its not about you and doesnt relate to you or anyone else close to you so your opinion on its offensiveness is irrelevant and ultimately based on your own bias of not wanting to see racism or prejudice when its not convenient for you to do so. When you have people that are actually black telling you its offensive and you want to sit up here with your white *** saying its no big deal makes you sound very, very foolish.
