Black Girl Gets Asked To Prom, Given KFC "Tiara", and She Accepts!?!?

I showed this video to some of my black female coworkers and they said it was corny, but cute. Not a single one brought up thoughts of it being racist. So we're all just uncle Toms? Some of you ****** kill me.

You ****** sound like the fools in the comments section
  • "heavenlyfl0werThis is not ok at all he did not have to make this proposal all about her color. He didn't have to refer to her as dark meat and the KFC theme really? I wouldn't have minded if he referred to her as chocolate or something but this went too far. This is stereotyping, feti****ation, and damn near racist. Let some white boy come at me with this mess foh. "

Him pulling that stunt is a byproduct of his classmates cosigning and being on board with it. If he didn't get the green light from them he wouldn't feel comfortable doing it in the first place.

This.

And if the girl didn't find it disrespectful, why should I feel offended for her? Can't stop people from hanging out with folks of questionable morals.

I see this all the time with black kids who live in/ go to school in predominately white areas. They become the butt of horrible stereotypes that their white friends pass off as harmless jokes. That sign and crown is nothing short of insulting, and that girl is just as goofy as him for accepting it.

When things like this happen, I think we sometimes forget that these are children.
They're young adults who should know that this is unacceptable. If he's smart enough to make a silly KFC connection to black people, he and her are definitely smart enough to know that people would find it unacceptable.

What kills more than the folks who don't find it funny or offenseive, its how mad they are that other people do.

I'm not offended but it's definitely offensive and if I was her I probly woulda slapped dude for even approaching me with such *******. A ******* KFC bucket crown

I was waiting for this

Its a slippery slope. This "One black guy was okay with it" is exactly what leads to them frat type parties with folks dressing up like rappers in black face.

Chick probably just glad a white boy asked her out. :smh:

The media has been pushing black women that way for a while now.

I've been seeing HS kids asking each other to prom in the most outlandish and unnecessary ways lately.

how is it racist? He's taking a black chick to prom. It's stupid I agree but home girl ain't wyle out so why would I? High school children do a lot more idiotic things, glad I ain't participate in all that nonsense

how isn't it racist? it's a ******* white boy asking a black girl to prom with a big *** sign that says i prefer dark meat

Its one thing if it doesnt bother you or you dont see the big deal personally, its another thing to act like your perspective is the correct and rational one especially when you're white and any malicious or insensitive intent is not aimed at you or anyone like you.

You are assuming that it WAS harmless based on some hypotheticals you just made up in your mind. Your opinion is nothing more than your own wanting and willingness to dismiss this as no big deal. Because you have no more background info than snyone else to jump to that conclusion. The fact that you have prople in here telling you it is offensive to them yet you still choose your made up narrative above all just makes you look like an idiot if not worse.
It Could Have Been Harmless And It Could've Been serious, Neither I Nor Anyone Else In This Thread Can Say So For certain.

Yet you still chose to pull multiple hypotheticals out of your *** to justify this behavior as no big deal. Why?
