After snoozing through James Bond's Spectre, I've come to the realization that....

Spectre wasn't bad, just so meh and should have been better with the talent involved.

Elba as a new Bond would be dope but I've heard Loki might be the replacement, which would be cool too.

Kingsman was good but that church scene is overrated. I was hyped for that moment from all the praise it received and while really well done, it wasn't anything amazing.

Yea he was great in Skyfall, straight up menacing performance.

They really wasted the hell out of an outstanding actor like Waltz :smh:

Matthew Vaughn in general puts out quality films.. His action scenes are awesome... Especially with Hit girl and Secret Service

iirc Mendes wasn't even sure he wanted to do Spectre, it felt force to introduce the villain

That explains a lot...they really should've called it curtains with Skyfall . It would've been ending the Craig series on a high note imo

Ending on the highest note would've been him just being in Casino Royale. Skyfall was definitely solid and really polished but just lacked fun for me.

Spectre was just a weak movie overall.. the actors felt like they were just going through the motions, the plot and story was kind of a drag. We get this big reveal that Blofield was behind everything in the previous movies.. just because he says it and then nothing else really happens with that. "I'm the author of all your pain".... Cool, now what?

It was a waste of a good actor and potentially great villain.

They also dipped back into the campy/old style Bond a bit.. but not in a fun way.. more in a homage and nod but again.. it didn't really translate well. This Bond was always more grounded and less over the top and campy, but Spectre took it back in that old direction. It's like the movie didn't know what it wanted to be.

Kingsman was very good, because they at least owned up to the parody of the older Bond movies and that was the goal. Whereas Spectre needed to fully commit to that or not and the movie suffered for it.

I'm in the Elba for Bond camp but if he doesn't get it I'd love to see Tom Hardy get the job.

Lot of folks say the actor has to be white because of Bond's Scottish ancestry.

Ian Fleming wrote his backstory, and it would be a tough sell to Bond purists.

Much like the black Bruce Wayne.

I feel you. What accent does Elba have again? A British one right.

Man thinking about it now if they dont try and go totally left with Elba then Hardy would kill that role.

Hardy's already had enough variety in his roles to never get typecast imo. Hes almost in that method actor mold

If not Elba,Fassbender would probably be my next best pick even ahead of Hardy. Dude would pull it off effortlessly I feel

I said it before but they should do spin-offs. They can have Idris be 008 or 009.

Or this.

Isn't DC contracted to do one more?

If so, kill him off in that one & boom...

Bring String in.
