2016 OFFICIAL YANKEES SEASON THREAD... THANK YOU A-ROD

^ That's dope

Girardi is killing me with this bullpen. In the last week he's gone to it 3-4 times way too early when it wasn't necessary yet. Tanaka was cruising, only had given up a couple hits and had low *** count. He should have been out there for the 8th. Bullpen is gonna get burnt out quick. Dumb as hell.

Alex with the old man bat flip.

Joe loves "the Formula" to a fault :smh:

At this point, we'd be lucky if Pineda could be a good 5th starter.

In like the grand scheme of things....

I would say.....
Tanaka - Strong 2 / Weak 1. Who at times has the stuff of a Dominant Ace. His problem is that although the split is deadly, it can be deadly against him as well. He lucks out by not allowing a lot of walks and dinky hits.
Eovaldi - A really good 3. But I'd be comfortable with him being a 4. Just as a depth situation.

CC & Nova are not really long term answers. But Nova would be a great Spot Starter, and injury filler.

So in order to be successful, we need a guy as good as Tanaka, a guy as good as Eovaldi, and a 5 who can stay consistent enough.

The hope is that Severino & Kaprielian can be that # 3 & # 5 guys.

We should really start looking at Gardner, Torrens, Mateo, Clarkin, Fowler, Refsnyder & Lindgren as a package in some combination to try to get that front end guy.
