What sports opinions did you have that turned out to be dead wrong?

I was big on Tyreke thought he was gonna be top 10 in league at some point

Thought Deron Williams would be right up there with CP3 for their whole careers.

Was pretty sure Tyreke Evans was going to be a perennial all star after his 20-5-5 rookie year

Iverson would go out on his terms :smh:

He should be having a farewell tour not Kobe

Deron Williams was better than CP3
Matt Barkeley would be a better pro QB than Andrew Luck
Tom Brady doesn't cheat

Already mentioned in the NBA thread I thought Iggy, Rudy Gay, Kevin Martin, Josh Smith, and Monta Ellis were the next star players.

Womp womp

This is a good thread :pimp: :pimp:

- Thought Tebow could play in the NFL. I was blinded by all those outrageous comeback W's :smh: Dude couldnt grasp a playbook to save his life nevermind his football career. Luckily for him he has that SEC gig even though he kind of sucks on TV IMO

-Thought Rondo was a legit top-tier player in the NBA. Not just PG, but overall player. Realized eventually that he can't score and is just a selfish player. Still appreciate all the amazing plays he made in Boston. Looking forward to him playing for the Knicks next year :smokin

-Thought the Warriors were a fluke last year from the beginning to the middle of the season. Didn't think you could rely on 3 point shots like that. I was dead wrong because Steph is barely human out there though :x Everyone thought he was just another player with bad ankles. So ******* wrong

-Thought Ochocinco was going to cook with the Pats :smh:

-Thought Peyton Manning would never play football again after his neck injury. We all know how he did it (HGH), but I was shocked by what I saw in 2013. That season was greatness. He lost in the Super Bowl in classic Peyton fashion but he shattered so many records that year

-Thought the Broncos' best chance of winning a Super Bowl with Peyton was in 2012 when they choked versus the eventual champion Ravens. The offense that year was more balanced than the pass-happy record-setting 2013 one and the one-two punch of Dumervil and Miller around the ends was deadly. After the playoff loss to Indy last year I thought the window had closed. Glad I was proved wrong two months ago.

-Thought no one would stop the 2011 Heat on their way to a championship. Again, glad I was proved wrong.

Can't think of any others or any player-specific ones right now, I might add more later.

I would have bet a paycheck that Sebastian Telfair was going down as one of the greats.

Bought that one hook, line and sinker

I thought Billy Beane could do no wrong and bought into his strategy that trading Cespedes for Lester was the right play...

I thought Colin Kaep was gonna be a future Hall of Famer
