SFPD at it again

30 seconds isn't any better though. Went from "Put that down!" being yelled twice to letting off on dude. Rubber bullets then real bullets :x

SFPD giving NYPD ideas on how to deal with the homeless :smh:

At least the camera didn't capture dude getting lit up and dying. The contradictory reports by witnesses hopefully won't save these cops.

End of the day a knife aint beating guns.

That hipster was SHOOK.

Police have no problem letting crackheads cook. SF is a crackhead's paradise but let one of them try to square up the one time. Nah. They gotta go, fam.

1. Cops are reluctant to use non-lethal forms of combat in this country because let's face it this country is violent as hell. Bringing rubber bullets to a gun fight can get you or others killed.
Bruh what are you talking about? They did use rubber bullets to start.

Also what gun fight? What did you see or read in that link?

This was 4 guns vs. 1 knife
2. Save the cops from what?
From punishment, reprimand, and hopefully demotion and/or losing their jobs.

If you have a knife, the cop is justified. It's an open and shut case.
 Read the article.

This police shooting is being investigated (like all police shootings) as well as witnesses being talked to discern if this was a good shooting.

I find it hard to side with people who aggravate police with weapons
If only it was that simple. I find it dumb to aggravate potentially mentally ill homeless ppl in these situations.

Might as well put them down in their sleep if this is how these situations are gonna be handled. Since we're such a violent country. Skip that procedure and just roam vacant lots and other homeless spots and put 2 in their heads as they dream of a better life.

Nah I just said "Rubber bullets then real bullets :x "

I really don't agree with you don't know the mind state of the individual, you assume he knows English, he aint respond so kill him.

sounds like a lot of assumptions on both our parts, the one thing I'm going off of is the knowledge that he had a knife and was making threats.
Even that part is in question by the time the police are on the scene

Someone called the cops I'm guessing, I'm sure dude wasn't chopping lemons in his lemonade stand holding the knife.

The incident began when city homeless outreach workers — who had responded to a report of a disturbance in a homeless encampment — called 911 to say a man was waving a large kitchen knife. Officers arrived minutes later.

When you got three guns pointed at you, do as they say and talk about it later. Homie had plenty of time and warnings.

Homeless people need to be arrested. They are homeless from a combination of society failing them, them failing society, and mental instability. It is laughable we think these people are somehow going to right the ship by themselves.

They need to get put in a rehabilitation center that gets them cleaned up and spends the time trying to help them become people that are a part of society.

Baffles how we as a City can logically think that allowing them to just roam the streets falling further into despair is some sort of solution.

Just out of curiosity, who will be paying for all this?

Hipster chick put all the white women falling down in scary movies bit to rest.

Us, the taxpayers. We (as a society) failed them. We can't turn our back on them now. And I'm not saying we need to pay more tax or anything. We need to shift our fiscal priorities to education, rehabilitation, and transportation infrastructure. We spend way too much on defense and other miscellaneous stuff that are band aids instead of source problem solutions.

What have been the good / bad of this?
I suppose the good are you can be a kid for as long as you want. Heavy drinking and smoking pot on the street. I mean i took a bump of yay from a guy outside on a sunday at like 1 pm, like a month a go. I'm not saying there aren't certain cops that won't say anything. I just never needed to encounter sfpd. With that freedom comes lack of self-control from people, naturally. The homeless in sf are the worst i've ever encountered but it's always been like this in San Francisco. It's a sanctuary city. Combine that with the heavy drug use of the city. It leads to problems. I don't want to say often but quite a few tourists end up missing or killed here.

I've lived in NYC I feel much safer in New York. As far as Manhattan goes. I knew a few dudes got got in BK though.  San Francisco you'll get robbed on a tuesday at like 2 pm in the afternoon. I think most can handle the freedom, however you can get caught slipping easily.

My cousin works out there and he mentioned that the heightened emasculation of men in SF is also very unsettling.

I haven't been to SF recently, but did enjoy it when I visited. I'd also add that NYC is mostly safe nowadays.

there's certain parts in the city where the cops will tell the homeless, drug dealers to leave. they did a major sweep for the superbowl and basically shoved the homeless to other areas where basically anything goes. pass by this everyday to work. guys shooting up in broad daylight, fights, etc. it's the worst it's been.

The emasculation of the male in the bay area is real indeed. But it's not surprising, the Bay Area is the feminist capital of the world. You should see these angry *** broads out here. However, it can work in your favor cuz no one is hitting on the women. A lot of men seem to have given up trying to date these chicks. It also leads to a lot of angry and frustrated males that lash out due to the lack of female attention. It's very interesting to see. It creates a paradigm of extremes men overcompensate by puffing their chest out more, because of the reputation as well.

Theres fine chicks for sure. However, the energy in general is not a sexy one thats in the air. NYC and LA chicks are trying to get chose because there is more competition. The ratio is in the women's favor in the Bay Area. So they have their pick of the litter without having to put in work i.e. dress up, heels, dresses etc. There's cool chicks though, just not as many as other places IMO.

Thanks for the insight. This confirms everything my cousin told me.

He joked about the 49er dilemma in SF: 4's thinking they're 9's.

man I was in SF for like 3 days last year and saw like no good looking girls. Not in downtown, not the mission. I was like what's going on? I felt bad for the dudes there. Must've been an off weekend I was there or something.

With that being said. It's a super dope city. It looks amazing, but ya people smoke weed and drink in the streets/parks like its nothing. Junkies like everywhere. **** was weird if you're not used to it.

Berkeley coeds/san jose ho s are where its at

As an SF native who has moved back and forth from San Jose every few years for work/family, SJ/South Bay girls are much finer especially if you like Asian girls. The amount of fine Vietnamese, Filipina, and Korean girls crushes anything the city has to offer. SF has been taken over by rich AWGs that look like they belong in Idaho, not here. Female wise, the East Bay is the worst though, outside of Oakland and Berkeley
