Were you taught "hell"was forever?

Dad always told me it's temporary even for the worst individuals since we're not nearly as evil as demons.

" The Emerald Piper. That's our hell. It's an Irish bar where it's St. Patrick's Day every day forever." - Christopher Moltisanti

yes I was taught that. Was terrified so I got baptized when I was like nine years old. I'm older now and don't believe in the supernatural (religion/gods) so it doesnt trouble my conscience anymore.

Question for believers: Let's say your wife passes away and goes to heaven before you do and you later remarry; if you and your new wife make it to heaven, who do you devote your loyalty?

I always imagined Hell like Dante described it.

Eternal damnation.

I don't subscribe to any religion btw.
