i can see marriage becoming more popular in the coming years for younger folks, as a means of pooling assets...

Nah, you ask my parents and grandparents why they got married.

It wasn't for rent money.

And then people ask why divorces are so high.

It actually pisses me off for some reason.

Smart move.

I'd also recommend any occupation that profits from increased abortions, the death of paternity tests in the US, child support / alimony cases that favor women, etc.

I am sure some folks GOT married for love and affection.

I am sure some folks got married for the business aspect of it.

It happened then.

It happens now.

How can we measure if it happened less in the past?
