Really all depends.

Usually anywhere from 5-8, I always try to aim for 6-8 by going to sleep earlier.

Thursday is my literal slave shift days, work 6AM-6PM class 8PM-10PM, back at work at 6AM so im usually up at 4AM.

Prolly only getting 3-5 tonight.

Health is more valuable than wealth, sleep is worth more than its weight in gold.

i did not realize so many people take stuff to sleep.  seems odd to me
Me. Idk why I just can't sleep, I pop zzzquil like it's vitamins at night. I get off at 11, go straight to the gym, get home shower completely exhausted and still can't sleep. Mon-thurs 4 hrs max fri-sun 6 max

6-8 but mostly around 7.

8 is definitely my magic number though, I notice a huge difference when I hit that.

What do you have in your bedroom?

Use to have crazy insomnia. Only thing I have in my bedroom now is my bed, a night stand, and an alarm clock.

Sleep and smash in there. I fall out in less than 5 minutes every night now.

From what I learned about it, the mind inclines itself to the atmosphere of the room you partake in certain activities in. If you play games in your room, watch hella TV, spend a lot of time on your phone or misc. digital device it becomes easy for your mind to wonder about doing those activities instead.

about 6-8 hours. naps after work or the gym.

Never got why people embrace getting little to no sleep like waking up well rested is a sign of weakness or lack of hustle.

Im unemployed now so i get anywhere between 8-10 hours sleep. Im not tired enough for naps during the day and plus since im unemployed i guess i dont want to feel like im wasting my day so around 1030pm i go to sleep. and btw ive started taking melotonin and it just makes the sleep 10x better for me lol

Sometimes 4-6, sometimes 6-8. I don't want to sleep past 8 hours.

I dunno about the quality of my sleep though. I should really go to a sleep analysis center and get treatment for my sleep apnea. I've been a terribly bad snorer since I was a kid and it's probably took time off my life.
Are you heavy? Just wanted to know if being heavy is primary cause of snoring? I been having some problem with that when I weighted about 70lbs heavier (220lbs) than my optimum BMI(150lbs), I slimmed down to 170lbs and my gf said the snoring calm down a little but I got back up to 190lbs and I notice my snoring again.

Yeah, I gained some weight. My snoring was less bad when I was in good shape. Always been a snorer though.

5-6 hours of broken, daytime sleep. Sucks. I wake up so many times because it's bright as hell out. :smh:

My naps at work are generally on point though. :pimp:

Get a sleep mask fam. When I was working overnight that sleep mask was so crucial I can't even put it into words.

When the light hit my eyes it was over. I might as well just have gotten up. That sleeping mask changed my life.

Back on mornings now tho.

I'd say a solid 5-6 hours. On my days off I sleep all day. My job has me knocking out at 11 which is early for me.

Somewhere between 4-5 hours on weekdays between post-class naps and sleep at night. I have an extremely difficult time forcing myself to end my day and I take really late (or early, more accurately) showers. Typically finally get myself into bed and pop a melatonin around 4-5 AM, and wake up around 8.

I probably get close to 8 hours of sleep on weekends though.

I fall into the 4-6 hr range most nights. It's not ideal, but it's enough to function the next day. Anything less than 4 and I'm in trouble, anything more than 6 and it's a blessing. Like many of you said, 8 is my sweet spot as well and I aim for that on the weekends

I remember working the 5am shift on Saturdays a few months ago on like 2-3 hrs of sleep and it was a nightmare. I was barely coherent and didn't remember large chunks of what would happen during my shift. No amount of caffeine helped me either. Glad those days are over

I hear you. I'm also like that but it's much worst when I gained weight. If you ever go to the sleep clinic, share your experience I would like to know..

Tips for sleep

Try and shut off tv/electronics a good 30-45 minutes before bed. Video games an hour or even more.

I noticed I would always have bad sleep or wake up once or twice in the middle of the night when I wouldn't

Also try and maintain the same sleep schedule, if possible. Try and go to bed earlier then you normally would to find the best time.

Light could be an issue if you can try and have it dark
