Anybody do yoga??Or meditate??....VOL....scress relievers

Yoga in the morning. Men's basic beginner stuff from YouTube.

My headstand game serious now though.

meditation works wonders for your mind and concentration. but there are many different types of meditation.

basically training your mind.

your focus wil be on levels you didn't know you could reach.

Yoga about twice a week.

Helps clear the mind and my body feels a lot better now then before when I only lifted.

Don't do hot yoga though, that was a disaster and the class was disgusting by the end.

Im on and off with the meditation.

Tbh, my meditation is usually centered around my herb usage.

I can do it pretty easily sober but for some reason when im straight edge I just can't be consistent with it. Currently straight edge as a mf.

I usually sit in a half lotus position on the bathroom floor (

) with the shower running and lights off, 1 candle lit, eyes closed, straight back...

Draw air into my stomach until capacity, slowly exhale. Do that for a count of 50-100 depending on how I feel.

When you notice your attention drifting towards your thoughts instead of jerking it back let the thoughts fade out.

Focus on either your breath, your count, or the stillness of your mind.

I've always wanted to try it, that and I pass by an actual Buddhist Temple on my way to/from work and they meditate and I want to try that, I don't know if chanting is necessary, I don't want to chant, I want to quietly meditate.

I don't chant.

When I've tried it's just way too distracting.

As long as you're comfortable, relaxed, and focused you should be able to meditate anywhere.

May sound a little bit corny, but by the time I hit a count of 50 I'm 9/10 in a state where I can mentally project myself somewhere that's crazy calming and just puts me under deeper.

I'm not with the weird mysticism aspects, try it and you'll understand what I'm talking about!

Yes to both. Took meditation and yoga class senior year of college and have been hooked ever since. Plus a lot of nice woman out there

I try to do Yoga every day at my campus, but lately have focused on pure Vinyasa flow. so only about three times a week I LOVE IT. Also try looking up Dylan Werner youtube videos, he does GREAT tutorials. I have improved immensely this semester. My breathing has improved as I practice and my mediation has improved. A lot of work left.

Been doing yoga like 2 times a week for the last month.

Some people suggested it because my lower back gives me trouble.

The instructor calls it "moving meditation". Good for the mind but my body feels more "upright", if that makes sense. I like it so far.

I do a ton of boxing, but I think I was doing too much. Too much hard training in general. So yoga is a good yin to that yang. And I feel like my boxing is actually much better as a result of it.

Also, been the only dude in the room every time so far, so if you single, this is the way.

I been doing it a few times a week lately at home with my girl. It's dope as hell.

Crow on point for over a minute. Headstand getting there.

Been practicing yoga for about a year.found a cool spot to take classes. It's more of the relaxing hatha stuff and focusing on breathing and meditation. The power stuff and flows are cool as well but i like the poses where you can hold and just focus on breathing

Did a three hr session the other night with some herb
:pimp:

Breathing is the key to success. I always dabbled with meditation, now been on in it consistently for the last year. Everyone has their techniques and what not. Don't get bombarded with all the frills and what not. It's as simple as sitting still for a 10-15 minutes and breathing. Start adding time as you go. Sit straight up hands on knees and  look ahead. Don't strain your eyes. Breathe from your stomach, In with the positivity out with the negativity. Start off hella simple. At first your mind will still be racing. Embrace your thoughts and work with them, don't fight them.

Once your brain and soul get into shape, your life becomes a meditative state. Mindfulness. I have a long way to go. But deeper and deeper  is my goal. Even if some of the **** inside me is disturbing. It don't stop. PEACE.

I heard about that, I think its called bikram yoga. I could only imagine what that **** was like after 20-30 minutes :x.

For those of you who do yoga regularly, how does it affect you physically? Benefits.
