With the draft coming up soon, the Skins still have a lot of holes to fill. At pick #21 S, DL, and LB are all in the equation as a potential 1st Round Pick that could fill a major need. What prospects intrigue you guys?

Source: Free agent CB Josh Norman has a visit to the #******** tomorrow. They get first crack

Didn't see this coming. This would likely mean the end of Chris Culliver. It would also give us more leeway in the draft to focus on other needs.

Yo...I hope we sign Josh Norman...so he can throw me some cash for this #24 that I know he's gonna want hahaha. #ItsAllYoursFam lol

:pimp: good thread, bruh.

Yup...signing would make a lot of sense. Plus the Norman x ODB matchup 2 times per year would be entertaining as hell. As I said last year, I trust SM's vision, and building that defense is a priority. Getting Norman, as you said, would allow the team to focus the 1st round pick on another area of need (NT/ILB)...

Josh Norman’s deal, when complete, expected be between $14 to $15 MIL per year, per sources. 5-year deals being discussed with Wash and SF.

Yep, and I've been reading that Norman is more of a fit for our scheme than Culliver is. This would be a huge move assuming last year wasn't a fluke for Norman.

Currently watching the Mock Draft Special on ESPN. They have us taking Karl Joseph with the 21st pick. A hard-hitting safety at pick #21 would be pretty poetic.

Joseph, Ragland, or Billings...I'd be stoked with any of those 3.

Though knowing how much SM values draft picks, I wouldn't be too shocked to see him trade back.

Glad the Skins spent money where there was a glaring need. And Norman is 28 so he should produce (assuming he stays healthy) for the life of his contract. But $50 mil guaranteed??? Jesus... But in Scotty I trust.

It's not 50 mil guaranteed.

Reality of ******** CB Josh Norman's deal: 2 yrs, $36.5 million, fully guaranteed; $500K in per-game roster bonuses in '17. Then, options.

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer Apr 23

******** will have to make a decision on Norman in March '18, when the remainder of his injury guarantee (~$13.5M) becomes fully guaranteed.

Thus, Norman went from a one-year deal (Panthers) to a two-year deal (********) with team options...

Albert Breer ‏@AlbertBreer Apr 23

Another key for ********: By the time McCloughan's draft picks start becoming eligible for 2nd contracts, they can bail from Norman's deal.

This was a major coup by Scot.

HTTR!

I assume we will be addressing DL or S with that first pick. Happy for Norman...the move came out of left field, and he virtually just fell in the Skins' lap.

I'm very excited about Galette though, I hope he wreaks havoc this year. We are going to be throwing some cash next year with several players coming off the books.

Thanks for those tweets JJs, didn't realize how solid this deal was. Highly doubt we keep him for the length of the contract.

I'm really hoping we draft Karl Joseph in the 1st and a DL in the 2nd.

21st pick in the draft. Who do y'all have us taking?

If I were picking I'd go:
1. Treadwell or Doctson
2. Karl Joseph
3. Ryan Kelly

Got a feeling we'll be trading back. Scot ain't gonna be content w/ just 8 picks. There's going to be MAJOR value in the 2nd round.

I feel that way as well. If he can trade back and land a S and DL in the 2nd that'd be huge.

We got arguably the best WR in the draft at 22. Doctson will fill a MAJOR need when both Jackson/Garcon are gone after next season. This is a passing league, and the more weapons Cousins has, the better. Good pick...ESPECIALLY with all the talent still available in round 2.

Yep, one of the only draft predictions I've ever hit on  Doctson will be really valuable for us. I see Garçon re-signing here, but DeSean is definitely heading out west somewhere.

We're definitely going full defense tonight. I've been reading DT Austin Johnson out of Penn State and S Jeremy Cash are on our radar.

So many good choices available in the 2nd. I think we go DT with our 2nd and S w/ the 3rd round pick.

With all the movement today, Scot has amassed 10 picks in next years draft.

Finally took a DT. Dude out of Temple.

Matt Ioannidis graded out seventh against the run amongst 2015 defensive interior players. #********Draft

Sounds like we got pretty solid value in the 5th round.

Washington ******** ‏@******** 4s4 seconds ago
RD 1 (22): Doctson
RD 2 (53): Cravens
RD 3 (84): Fuller
RD 5 (152): Ioannidis
RD 6 (187): Sudfeld
RD 7 (232): Daniels
RD 7 (242): Marshall

Added talent to the receiving corps, secondary, defensive line, linebacking core, and a RB in the final round. Also scooped up a developmental QB. Not to mention the picks we acquired for next years Draft. Solid draft.

Hopefully they'll get some O-line prospects in the UDFA pool. Scot did his thing. Not to mention that we'll have a ton of picks in 2017. Depth, depth....DEPTH!

Su'a Cravens will wear #36.. His idol Sean Taylor wore that before switching to 21. Pretty cool! @Sua_Cravens #******** #HTTR
