Very nice win tonight. Crushed a bad team like they were supposed to, didn't play down to their level.

Only the second time in my life the Skins have had back-to-back winning seasons. Feels nice.

Win and the Skins are pretty much in.

Let's see if they can handle the pressure, gonna need Kirk to play like he's worth the $20M.

Only real concern is stopping OBJ, which the Skins have never been able to do. I also wonder if he's a guy the Giants rest, they really can't do anything if he gets hurt.
 
I think Eli, OBJ, and other key players will play the first half at most. If the defense can get some early pressure on Eli he'll be out earlier.

I'm confident we get this W and have back-to-back playoff berths. While we left a couple wins out there and put up some stinkers, this team has been resilient. They will come out and fight.

No matter what though, Kirk has to be signed this offseason. Breaking all types of franchise records, back-to-back winning seasons as a starter, division champ. I don't know what more the fanbase or front office could want him to prove.

Absolutely...depending on what happens with Todd Bowles, Ryan might be my #1.

*Just want Rob nowhere near this team, tho. However, I'd happily get a beer with him.
 
Reading DeSean Jackson is telling former and current Eagles he's going back. Hopefully he loses that speed next year :lol:

Lord knows we don't have the safeties to cover him.
 
DeSean has never been a ******* to me. Appreciate what he brings to the team. Appreciate not having to face him twice a year even more. But for far too long have I witnessed this man burn us as an Eagle. I was there for the Monday Night Massacre in 2010. First ****** play of the game, 80 yard bomb :smh:
 
Damn damn damn... Don't even know what to say. Anemic first half. Not enough plays in the second half. Garcon and Crowder were the only ones showing heart on offense. Defense showed up and played their ***** off second half of the game.

Dont know what to think of Cousins now. This was his time to cash in and erase the doubt. Not remind people why he got benched a couple seasons ago and why he got tagged in the first place.

Despite all that, I hope they work out a long term deal this offseason. He is our QB. No one out there better.
 
Just a thought...would u rather have Cousins back, or have the team take a flyer on someone like Jay Cutler/Tyrod Taylor/etc.?
 
If Gruden continues as the HC I don't think either would fit his system. I'd like Taylor, he'd give NFC East defenses fits. Cutler is washed.
 
Hell no to Cutler! I'd be intrigued by Tyrod but need to monitor his health.

Another that may be worth a flier, Bridgewater assuming he's healthy. Not known for his deep ball but sounds like we're losing DeSean. With Garcon, Crowder, and Reed he'll have options for short/intermediate throws. Just need a better run game.

Jimmy G I'm not sold on. And we have too many needs on defense to give up a 1st and a 4th that Belichick wants.

But again, I want Cousins over all of them. The numbers he put up don't just happen, even in a pass happy offense. He has talent.
 
I really can't believe it...

First step in completely overhauling the defense. Starts with the coaches, and outside of 3/4 players, we're gonna have all new names as starters next year.

Jay is literally coaching for his job after next season. SM probably told him that after the Giants debacle.

Leads me to believe that Kirk is gonna be tagged.
 
I think they work something out long term with Kirk.

As far as a new DC, tons of great options on the market. Hopefully Jay doesn't just go and choose someone he's buddies with again...
 
Skins interviewed Mike Pettine today for DC. He's got a pretty solid track record as a coordinator with the Jets and Bills. Top 10 defense every year he's been a DC. Of course, those teams had talent on the defensive side.

I do like that they aren't just going with the big names here. Hopefully it's a thorough process.
 
Sean McVay gone.

Going to need a new OC & DC. Luckily, Gruden's system will remain intact. Going to need a complete overhaul on the defensive side of the ball though. Will be tough to get all the right pieces in place for this season. Tons of moves to make.
 
Best of luck to McVay. Sounds like the Skins will promote from within for OC. Likely Callahan. Don't need a new offense, just somebody to be an extension of Gruden. But I'd be interested in Mike McCoy.

For DC, either Wade or Gus. Preferably Wade.

Hoping they bring back Galette. Sounds like he'll play for the vet minimum. Low risk, high reward. If healthy he'll help the pass rush immensely.

I think Wade's the guy. I heard on the radio yesterday that teams around the league had to wait on Phillips contract to expire on a certain day. Skins fired the defensive staff and have been conducting interviews, but only doing due process because they had to wait for Wade to become available.

He got passed over last year, but he wouldn't be wasting his time w/ an interview tomorrow if there wasn't mutual interest. Plus, his son is already on the staff.
 
I pray he is. Only issue is McVay wants him bad. Rams defense is much more attractive than the Skins are right now. Hopefully coaching with his son will sway him.
 
Just realized the amount of question marks this team has: QB, DC, OC, D line, Safety, and possibly HC?

Not just for next season but for the next 5 years. Here I thought we were building to contend year in, year out for the Division Championship but man... this offseason feels like a perfect storm for reverting back to the Division chumps
