I Guess Birdman's Son Doesn't Have Cookies?

Wayne started to take over as soon as Gorilla Warfare dropped.

TBIH sealed it.

Lights out is one of the most underrated albums ever but still had the hood ringin.

500 Degreez wasnt trash.

It was just a rough translation time.

Way of Life was number 1 on 106 for a min.

And did you call the SQ tapes whack?
This man knows. Lights Out was slept on heavy. And Wayne was spitting fire on Get It How U Live, too...Block Burner...

When that first Hot Boys album came out, mad people couldn't tell. There wasn't mad pics out, videos or anything. No one knew unless you were from the south. They sounded alike at times.

I always laugh when people say they knew Wayne would be a star. When everyone left, Turk's album didn't do as well as they expected. 500 Degreez got ******* on and basically the Big Tymers carried the label. NO ONE was saying during those years Wayne was gonna be a star and save it while the Big Tymers were keeping them afloat. Wayne couldn't even get an album out because there was no hype and Cash Money was looking for new talent because it was getting bad. Those wack *** Squad tapes blew up and then it ended up blowing up, put an album out and Wayne rode the Dipset wave.
Bruh ....
Block is Hot????

What is you talking about ....

Just shhhhhhh ....

No one in Cash Money for me had the star power Wayne had but Juvi ....

Everyone else was just more weekly NL **** music ....

And lOl at people not know who was who ... I don't know where u was at fam, but where I was during that time .... Everyone knew who was who ... U chopped that **** up Screw style and people still knew ....

Hot Boys Wayne is NOT subjective!

Lollipop Wayne is.

If you didn't rock with Wayne pre Carter 3 then your music opinion is invalid.

THBIH, GW, LO, SQ, hell evem LFLS >>>>>>> anything comin out the souf today.

Not to mention he aint even cuss on TBIH except for Eff the World.

i remember when cash money was popping for me (right after Ha). all the chicks my age (i was middle school/high school) were loving them some wayne.
he was chill and you could definitely tell they had a plan for him for the future. all da honeys was loving him.

Anyone remember the diss of Juvi to Wayne? Where he was saying what kind of man kisses another man? No one believes him until the picture and even after that they acted like the somg never came out ....

Idk about "star potential" for wayne but when those south records hit hot 97, juve and bg were the only ones i remember people paying attention to locally.

Wayne wasnt really that guy to me until after go dj dropped and that mixtape he had with juelz

Also, no love for a mannie fresh verse? He was my fav on project bi**h

I will bust yo **** boy!

500 Degreez probably had some of the worst beats Mannie Fresh ever produced

Soulja Rag > 400 degreez

Classic case of name the oldest tape by artist so I can feel like I knew him before you did.

Solja Rags was TRASH

Wouldn't say Soulja Rags was trash, but never wanted to listen to it agin after the first time

Life After Cash Money

Agreed other than Real Recognize Real. Was very surprised at how good B.G.'s albums were post Cash Money without the aid of Mannie Fresh beats, I just didn't like how his flow was starting to change. His voice was flawless from 96-02

I wasn't checking for Real Recognize Real when it came out but a friend convinced me to give it a go and it cranks. Def had that old Pat feel to it.
