Can you cook? ??

My girl won't finish her steaks when she goes out now, saying how mine is always better.

The cuts they use in regular restaurants aren't great, and then you have the chefs rushing to make it or don't make it to the correct wellness. She gets hers medium-well and they always make it well-done. :rofl: I always tell her that's what she gets for eating steak more than Medium.
She is black right? She thinks it is blood?
 
rare steaks for me...i've been getting mixed results from places when i ask for my steak rare.

i've perfected my own rare steak but i can't cook anything past  medium rare...never tried

Nah she's white. Her and her moms are the white folks that freak out if chicken isn't burnt and start screaming about salmonella. :lol:

Most dope steak places would much prefer you ask for your steak rare - it's when people start asking for "medium well" that they usually start tripping.

If you really want to control the "doneness" of your steak, I'd definitely recommend a meat thermometer.

I am like them. I want my chicken "burnt" ( as @af1 1982  ) tells me. I just like my food crispy

Every time I go out and order a burger medium well it always comes out well done. I think I will make that move down to medium

I've cooked my own steak/burger rare before and couldn't do it. It tasted just like it smelled raw and I could get the image out of my head.

I should be able to post some pics of some steaks on the grill this weekend or next
 
Bought a pork shoulder today. Going to try and make some carnitas tomorrow with the chipotle recipe I saw online.

First time I made some I was so impressed with myself I can't get a pork shoulder without wanting to make carnitas or pulled pork sandwhiches

I can cook mexican dishes like a mutha. But overall, I'm pretty decent for being self-taught
 
If anyone's interested, the Anova immersion circulator is on sale right now. It's a game changer for cooking proteins. Highly recommend it. I've had mine for a while now and love it.

I mite try that on one o those dollar french bread loafs from wal mart.
 
That pizza is better than the person who said they put ketchup and sliced american cheese on bread.
