These are proven facts by Nike execs though....we the slickest city. We just don't got nobody to put on for us mainstream....and the wire ain't depict us right fashion wise at all :lol:.

Crazy NYC calls AF1's "Uptowns"....when they used to drive 3hrs down 95 to west Bmore to be put up on game, and cop forces :lol:.

Bro, I'm in Baltimore frequently. That **** was depicted with 100% accuracy...I've been to all the Wire filming locations. I even ate Sterling's right on the curb.

No, not at all :lol:. 1st, you posting hashtags of "Bmore", "bodymore" etc is hilarious :lol:. Nobody here refers to Baltimore as that. That's you outta towners and sht. We simply call it "Baltimore".

B-More is the Runner/Air Max/New Balance capitol, as well.

South Florida is the Dickies/Linen Fit, G-Code/goon attire headquarters along with New Orleans. At one point, Florida cats only wore Ree's. Soulja Reeboks and Reebok Classics.

There's a history lesson a page back, and I'm an older Millennial so I actually lived it.

NYC made the Ones popular, back then the drug dealers wore them while they balled on the courts.

If you were trying to get fresh, you wore Addidas, BK.or Fila.

Even when they went out of town.

Back then, you wasn't fresh unless you got your gear from NY.


...all the way up until like 2002, you go to any state and EVERY one was d-riding you because you were from NY.

Remember Paid In Full? True story based in the 80's? "Look at me Mitch. D-C!"

I literally JUST posted a video, where NYC dudes said the kids in Bmore were rocking AF1's first....and they traveled down to Bmore to get em. Yet you ignored it :lol:.

Like I said, NYC gets the credit...because y'all were popular, and the center of attention. Y'all had people that represented y'all culture on the mainstream level. Baltimore, literally has never had anybody represent us in the urban world on a large scale.

So y'all came down...saw how we was getting Fly...took it back home, and told the world y'all started it. And they bought it. B/c NYC was the center then. That's how it went.
 
There was a jew shop in NY that also only sold Air Force I's informally like da balt/DC stores before they were "officially" commercially retroed in 92'

Hence y da uptown name stuck.

NYC had 90s/2000s, now it's the bay, LA, NYC, and possible the ATL. London, Paris, and Tokyo for the rest of the world though, Seoul too..
 
for asia region definitely is Tokyo, the birth place of so many things related to streetwear, sneakers , toys, action figure etc (for asia region)

What's that store in the Hieghts Geraldine I think was the name where they sold pre release joints ? I remember back in 05 shooting up to window shop.
 
I think Seattle is a slept on fashion trendy city,

-Flannels with the Chucks

-Parkas

As far as fashion in general and not just trends it mostly comes from overseas to New York and LA and spreads from there
