I work for Target and the amount of backlash this has received is amazing. It was a bold move but in all honesty it was a smart chess move as well. They are playing into the feels of the younger more accepting demographic. The main people who are upset about this are the older 50 years old and up people who are no longer their targer (no pun intended) audience for sales.
Its funny because the ones who are upset with the stance never stop to think where do you think the transgenders were currently going to the restroom before all of this? This is nothing new, yall been sharing the same stalls.

While I don't disagree that change needs to happen, this is all too fast. Something like this needs to be eased into in order to comfortably bring along he rest of the population. This whole thing seems knee jerk.

I'm sure my mom, sister, and woman have been in the bathroom with a transwoman and had no idea. I'm sure when most kids are abducted from bathrooms they aren't by transgendered people. I'm sure when most people are sexually abducted in bathroom they aren't by transgendered people.

The whole safety concerns is a ridiculous argument. It's not like transgenders are a recent phenomenon and it's definitely not like they haven't been using public bathrooms until now. A whole lot of outrage over nothing;
