I've been laid off 4 times in the last 8 years of working. All different companies. I have been laid off for a couple months now. It's good and bad sometimes the last two times have been a relief. I deserved more I knew I could do better, I wanted more. Yea Unemployment is most definitely not enough to live on but overall I am very optimistic about my future employment endeavors. 

Has anyone else been laid off?
 
Thankfully, I've never been laid off. I've always had the luxury of leaving on my own terms because of something more promising. If I ever find myself unemployed, I'll take it as a sign to fully committ to and invest in my small business ideas.

Don't even give af anymore. Don't think I'm meant to be in one job role 3+ years or more.
 
Twice.

Once for slinging crazy deals when I worked at a grocery store.. Talmbout friends and fam coming through my line with $40+ worth of stuff and paying 5 buck for it. They only got me for $20 worth, moved at least $500.

Another time when I was working at the bank as a teller. Racist boss, fired the only other black dude soon after making the bank all white. Coo cause she got demoted and works at a branch by my crib, I make more than she does at a 1/3rd the age. Flexing on her.

Both of these I was less than 18. 

Started my career, so I go 300% every day at work. Can't treat it like those little retail jobs.

In my local, electricians get laid off whenever it slows down or they want. You don't quit, you ask for a layoff.

The record I believe was made by some dude in the 90's who got over 50 W2's in one year :lol:

I got laid off march 29th of this year. But I'm aerospace contractor, so I put my resume out there and started work 3 HOURS!!!! Away so I move a lot. Pay is good tho. But I know I can find a job anywhere on the planet building airplanes. Find a trade or skills fambz

Will take you places (literally)
 
This is gonna be the norm for the next generation. everything is contract work now. employees with benefits supposedly cost too much:rolleyes
 
Once for me, but I was working two jobs at the time. It was nice having two paychecks for a while though.

Mervyn's was dope.

I've been laid of twice. second time being my most recent, sucked bc I was an after school teacher and I was going to show them some dope *** experiments after spring break. I got let go half way through spring break when I had my materials ready. hurt me bc I know the bunk *** teacher was going to show them my stuff. now they think she's cool but nah, she's whack.

i head butt someone (it was a warehouse environment) if i told you story you guys wouldnt even believe it

imo he provoked it

Got terminated back in 2010 from a warehouse job for goijg to the toilet instead of cleaning up my area when it was time to clock out.

Never been laid off nor fired. I always switch jobs often though due to boredom or because I want more money or I didn't like the culture.

Was at a biotech firm for 6 months. Company was making money crazy. Company was going to merge. Had a bad feeling. Jumped ship. A year later company laid off 200 management positions.

I'm from CT so I'm usually ahead of ppl around my area unless I'm in NY/NJ i fit right in...........

can't even recall what i was wearing, anyways this happened like the first week on the job we just got done with orientation.................ridic, i wasn't even a warehouse employee i was going to be the driver........

True fact, I have never seen anyone headbutt another person in real life. I have seen people get punched, elbowed, kicked, hit with various objects, etc but never head-butted.
