DAMN DETROIT....... 94 of 97 Schools Closed From "Sickout"

And dudes was saying the city was gonna bounce back in the home buying thread :smh:
That city ain't never comin back

Damn from Bankruptcy, to high crime rate, to polluted water, now closing public schools.

Michigan definitely not the place to be, bet the housing market cheap as hell though.

Due to the level of corruption that's been going on here for decades.

School us bruh.

I thought y'all got that pimp suit mayor out of there.

From all my accounts I thought y'all was bouncin back strong.

It's still that bad?

Did any of you see the photo gallery in the link? :smh: at those working/learning conditions. Jeez...

Look at how filthy our very own backyard is :smh:. We need to focus on our own issues first, before getting involved in everyone else's.

Here's a prime example of the corruption, I speak off.

To make matters even worse, one of the crooked principles. Was recently on Ellen and received donation money for his school.

Downtown Detroit is DEF bouncing back and gonna be hell of a place to be and live.

Now the surrounding areas, don't think anyone can help them. Too much crime and **** going on, that **** is a mess

Detroit's issues began before Kilpatrick got in office and didn't stop once he left. The foundation was already laid so they kept doing was perfecting it.

As long as they don't screw over the upper middle class(those that can afford to invoke change) then this stuff will never get better. The poverty stricken areas are trying to find ways to survive and can't focus on fighting an established system on their own.

It's crazy how broke Detroit is, but next door in Oakland county is one of the wealthiest counties in the U.S.

Those pictures. :x
Been living in Oakland County since 06 [emoji]128526[/emoji]. Dps is ****** up tho, I went to detroit public schools from pre k - first semester of 9th grade. Worse school system in the world. 32 kids 12 books had us putting desk together to share em and ****. I can't even defend the city on this one because everyone know how bad it is. Nobody I know own send their kids to dps, they just use other people's address in surrounding cities and send them there.

Like said before years of corruption will do that to a place. Bert. Bert. was spot on about downtown tho. That's about to be the place to be its just the areas around it.
