INFERNO Movie Thread - Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demon Sequel - 10/28/16

Nice, which of the three did you like best?

I've only seen the movies but really liked the first two so I am looking forward to this one.

Out of the three books turned movie, I liked Angels and Demons the best. Thought the "treasure hunt" aspect of it was dope.

My favorite book from him might be digital fortress though. I still need to back track and read the lost symbol

Is it true that in the books, A&D events happened before DVC?

I vaguely remember reading about that.

Out of the two films so far, I think I like DVC more, the reveal in the end kind of just blew my mind.

Angels and Demons is the best of the three. Symbol was cool though, good quick read.

Been a while, but I believe yeah AD happened before DVC.

I feel like this movie is gonna be everything Nic Cage wished the National Treasure movies were

Angels & Demons on SyFy right now (pst)

A&D and DVC are one of those movies that when it's on, it's kind of difficult to step away.

Where does Inferno fall in chronological order of the books?

Imo inferno was a better book than da vinci code and angels and denons.

Last symbol was up there with inferno

Chronology is :

A&D
DVC
Lost symbol
Inferno

Although there is little to no cross over from one book to another.

Kind of hyped by that movie :pimp:

Yah I believe the only relation between DVC and A&D is Langdon and that they knew about his history from DVC.

Kind of sucks that they're skipping Lost Symbol, hopefully they make is as the fourth/final film.

Man I hope they don't butcher this one....Maybe I shouldn't have read the book first.

Angels and Demons came first, but DVC was what caught fire to the Dan Brown novels. I just love learning all this history from his books and then get caught up fact checking and learning more history from each book.

The lost symbol was badass. While I was reading it I was trying to picture who would play the bad *** tatooed villain, and then also how they were going to talk about the weight of human soul

But yeah I think Inferno was one of my favorites after Angels and Demons. It was a little darker than the others :smokin

Yea it did.. DVC was the bigger book though, so guess that's why they started with that

Never had a desire with any of these movies.. Books were great, read all of Dan Browns books

Just read the synopsis of Lost Symbol and I see why they didn't want to make, it does sound like National Treasure dealing with the freemasons and mainly set in the US. Probably want to distance themselves from Nic Cage as much as possible.

If you liked the first two, I don't think they'll mess this one up since it is pretty much the same director.

But my god, why are DVC and A&D rated 25% and 37% on RT? :wow:

^^ They were horrendous. Don't want to offend anyone but damn!! they sucked. I was hyping up A&D to some friends and while I was watching it I was just thinking wow this movie blows sorry bros.

I guess it benefits me that I didn't read the books but I am more inclined to read them now though.

I hope this is is indeed part of the movie, but who knows.

DO NOT WATCH IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO CREEPY ISHH

I just can't get pass tom hanks in the role.. I love dude's work and 2 of his movies are in consideration for my top 8 (saving private Ryan and forest gump)

But I just don't see it in these

I buy Hanks in these because he is more of a nerd than the adventurer former navy seals like Nic Cage in National Treasure. It fits him as a scholar I thought.

But then again I am just a Tom Hanks fan, hell he made me like Larry Crowne and The Terminal.

still looking forward to seeing it though but probably in the following weeks as it's a busy weekend

Easily his weakest book. Not even going to the see movie.

Plus they changed the ending which was probably they only thing I found good about the book.

Should have a made a movie for Deception Point instead.
