Ok, is there any one who thinks this is the BEST ramen noodle flavor? I can't be the only one.

Oriental is a term created by the caucazoid in the past for the sensis.

Its irrelevant now.

Imagine if trump said
"We will win the negro vote"
"We will win the oriental vote"

If it sounds ridiculous if HE says it , its ridiculous..out dated...offensive. ..pick one.

And its 2016 yall shouldn't eem be eating romin noodles.
Only flavor u need to be concerned with is "not ramen".
Yall puttin that spice pack on ya noodles instead of respek.

Oriental is a seasoning in the first place, it irked me hearing people equate that to race/nationality

its because the word is used to describe all asians from the middle east to east/southeast asia. Asia is a continent of many nations, cultures, languages, etc... but the West just wants to describe us with one word. the word is racist.

Still don't get the term "African American" if you aren't from Africa

Why isn't it just American ?

I hate the term African American. It's antiquated. Notice there's no classification such as "European" American to describe whites.

Meh not too mad about it, people get called Asian or Hispanic all of the time. (White)People usually say that out of respect anyways because they feel uncomfortable saying "black".

I don't think i ever heard "Asian American"

How about "South American - American" ?

What's so bad about saying "black"?
I don't know, do your research and ask some white friends. I get a sense of people thinking it's degrading because you are referring to someone based on a color that's not accurate at all(Asians being called yellow, native Americans called ********). Doesn't apply for all of course because we obviously call people white all of the time, but it doesn't have a negative stigma like the color black might to some.

...if someone calls me African-American, it's a deal breaker.

I don't feel that way, unless I hear a condescending or scarcastic tone. But, I understand where you're coming from. I just always encounter white people uncomfortably calling me black or referring to me as a black guy so I see their side as well.

The last time I've heard Oriental was back in the WWF days "Oriental Express" when wrestling gave no dambs.

 :smh: I remember that.

Last time I heard it was in an old movie referring to a group of Asians as Orientals and the other was a joke about "oriental fever".

Depends on where you live, in New York blacks prefer to be called black.

It's not offensive either because there's so many diverse variations and backgrounds.

I hear "Oriental" from old people a lot though, white, black and Hispanics.

...one time when I was a kid, my father in law's best friend called me "colored".

He was trying to be politically correct. It was so unexpected,

I couldn't even get mad because you could see he was mortified by the awkward silence.

One Christmas my father in law got into a fight with my brother, then called him the N-word.

Dude was one of those flower power Brits that hung out with The Weatherman and Black Panthers in college.

He idolized Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis.

But after his wife died (my mother in law) a few years ago,

he started hanging out with racist bikers.

I personally think he's ****** in the head.

But I also seen him go through a series of identity crises.

White people are victims of their historically compounded moral debts.

Everyday thery walk out of the front door it's probably mental torture knowing the whole world secretly hates you.

I think that's why using the N-word in any shape or form is empowering for them.

I personally commend any non-black person who subconsciously removes it from their vocabulary.

It really shows character, and their perception of power.
