hi NT.

My good friend was diagnosed with colon cancer last Saturday and it's hitting me extra hard because I've already gone through this with my Aunt. When she told me the news, all I could think was, ****. Its still early in the process but the tumor's size is stage 3 (it's big for a tumor) and the cancer itself is stage 1 / stage 2 . They won't be sure about what stage everything is until they open her up on May 26th.

When she announced it on Facebook , her friend immediately started a go fund me to help her pay for bills and such as she's undergoing surgery and treatment. To my surprise we reached $10,000 in about 30 hours and it's still going. It amazed me the level of support my followers on Twitter, and her followers gave as soon as it was announced. Like there really are good caring people out there still. I had actually wanted to start a thread to ask for help... But we reached the goal and now I want a different kind of help. Something all of you are really good at.

I know it sounds weird, but right now what my friend needs most is a distraction. So, I would like to ask all of you to do what you do best, and simply flood her Twitter and Instagram with positivity. Or simply, go hit on her. Tell her Mecks sent you. Or that you're from NT. That's all I'm asking. Make her laugh. Troll. She has an amazing sense of humor. Her favorite joke at the moment is "after you have surgery on your colon, you're gonna end up with a semi colon"  Thanks guys.

In all seriousness this sucks. We've been close friends for about 3 years now and on paper we shouldn't even be friends. We met while she was going through a divorce and she is 15 years my senior. She turned into my mentor and offered me guidance in love, life and everything in between. What is upsetting me the most is knowing what she's going to have to go through in these months coming up. And the helplessness that comes with the feeling of knowing, I really can't do anything to change her diagnosis. I truly love her as a family member and having to go through it all again, I'm not looking forward to it. of course I'll be there for all the surgeries and all the treatments, but this sucks dog.

I know some of you are probably going to still want to donate. So here's the link. Everything helps I appreciate it.

Damn man pobresita it looks like she has a daughter , maybe more kids ...pobresita man **** this . I promise i was never scared of dying or being locked up for a substantial amount of time until i have my daughter ....i couldnt fathom not being here for my daughter or her face if she found out i was gone :frown:

She looks like what I was hoping to find when I created a Cougar life account.

Tell her this. She'd cry laughing

She's 40, and yes 2 daughters. She said the hardest part for her was having to tell them what was going on, then imagining them growing up without a mother.

I'll keep it tame because this is NT.... But she was basically having stomach problems. She thought it was because of too much hot sauce or she wasn't eating good. Until one day there was blood like everywhere in her poop. Like a ridiculous amount. Freaked out went to the ER, they thought it was an ulcer but it wasn't acting like a normal one or something. Did a colonoscopy to see where the bleeding was coming from and they found the tumor. So they ran tests. Came back positive for cancer. Next step is an MRI and to get the tumor out.

Lowkey kind of made me paranoid. Like I'm going to check my poop everyday for weird stuff :smh

Damn.....she looks better than a lot of 30 year old I know.

Cancer and health is just a serious thing. I still have a homie to this day that smokes cigs and even all my other friends that are hardcore smokers all quit. I joke with him cause he's been smoking since 14 that he's going to die soon but now that he is 35, I feel like that is going to happen soon.

Anyways....sorry to hear this. I have 3 people in my family that passed from cancer. It's super tough to see even from an outsiders point of view. I hope she beats it.

The rule of blood in your poop is that if it's bright red, you're fine. Even if it seems like there's a lot.

If it's dark red or black, and/or tarry, go to the hospital. That means you have some sort of internal bleeding or other problem that needs immediate attention.

Just saw that she is a photographer. She has good stuff. I dropped her a comment. Hope that helps.
